With the arrival of the year 309 AC, celebrations are in order to reflect upon the good and bad of last year. House Reinard av Fristadvlom invites various people, Sihai or not, to participate and enjoy in a casual night of feasting, cultural appreciation, and reflecting on a year that has come to pass as well as what to do in the year to come. Event features include various Sihai dishes brought by guests and promptly checkedbefore being placed in the main food tables to be shared with attendees, beverages provided by various Frivolous dynasty breweries, and the opportunity to attempt Sihai crafts. It is more than encouraged by guests to ask questions about Sihai culture and sate not just their hunger, but their curiosity, too. Features of the Event Sihai Potluck Feast | Dishes are sourced from various Sihai and half-Sihai guests as well as House Reinard av Fristadvlom’s cooking staff. Enjoy foods such as ramen, dumplings, and sweets from both the Dexai Mainland and the Outer Isles! Good Luck Charms | While not necessarily a Sihai-exclusive notion or practice, the manner in how some go about creating the small charms for either themselves, family, or friends is a fun way to create a souvenir to take home and also, to learn the perspective of some Sihai when it comes to such. Those with a knack or interest in sewing may find this part of the event enjoyable. Origami | An alternative to good luck charms as an activity, the art of folding paper into certain forms of animals, flowers, and other subjects is also available to enjoy during this event. Books with illustrations and instructions will be at every table. Each book contains folds of various difficulties.
