We’re better than this. Aren’t we? We are Knights of Bloodcast; the Knights whose duty is the common Good; the Knights whose duty is what is right. Our code- or lack thereof- permits us greater flexibility, greater choice, greater meaning in our actions than any other Order. Are we not the Knights who the common people rely on? Are we not the Knights who should hold true Goodness in our hearts over any dogma, over any creed? And is desecration, greed, graverobbing not so utterly counter to that Goodness that we should seek never to engage in the act, much less even consider it? We, the Bloodcast, are better than this. We are better than craven name-calling; we are better than declarations of hatred; we are better than immature peacock-displays of who did what and who seeks to announce it to the world. And we are better than proving them right. Is this not descending into the lack of decorum that the Viridians declared us foes for? Are we not ripping at each other’s cloaks as they would expect us to? Do these petty accusations not drive greater rifts between us, when in reality we should be coming together and proving them wrong? The acts committed by those two of our Order in desecrating the grave of no greater man than a lost Heron are not the acts of our Order as a whole; they are neither representative nor wanted to be representative of who we are, and the Goodness we seek to hold ourselves true to will not be besmirched by base graverobbers and liars in red capes. It is in the name of this Goodness, and in the name of the scarlet cloak which we all bare, that I call upon every Bloodcast in the Crown Isle, and indeed every Knight, to cease their squabbling on this matter. Do not fall into this immaturity. We are above this. At the same time, I do call upon those responsible to bring themselves forward today. This is your only opportunity to admit your guilt to the rest of your Order, that we might repair the damage done to our already-thin relationship with our forebears. Otherwise, we will discern who speaks truth, and justice will be done with the knowledge that you chose to hide from what mercy was offered you. Consider this carefully.
