SCREEN PLAY: Of Another Life​

Chapter I - A Dragon is Born

• Vhilomir Krähe Kade as he would later come to be known was born as Philip Kade alongside his sister Astrid Kade to Leopold Kade and Freya Lo.
• As per arrangements between the Kade and Lo families, Astrid would be raised by their Mother, Freya, whereas Vhilomir would be raised as a ward of Maximillian Kade, and his wife, Elizabeth of Dorton.
• His father Leopold's absence would remain a burden in the Kade's mind from a young age, turning to a sour distaste for the man altogether in his teen years, especially upon his biological Mother Freya's worsening mental condition. Vhilomir would remain guilt-ridden at the possibility that his deadbeat father could have prevented Freya's further deterioration.
• Vhilomir's childhood would be spent around Elizabeth's other children, whom Vhil had very little difficulty acclimating with. After all, he was naturally social and cheery.
• His early studies would comprise of mathematics, literature, languages and general history, all of which Vhil took to nicely. In this regard, Vhilomir would deviate very little in terms of education on contrast to his siblings and relatives of similar age.
• His generally calm demeanour even with other children was plainly demonstrative his otherwise cunning and wry social mindset - where he would have trick his cousins into the upper hand during games of wit.
• As a Door-Inner fascinated by his particular culture's captivating with the theatrical arts, alongside Elizabeth's own resistance, Vhilomir formally enrolled into the Door-Inner Huis College.

Chapter II - A Series of Unfortunate Events

• It was at the age of 15 that Vhilomir would embark upon his theatrical studies in Dorinn. This apprenticeship would captivate Vhilomir for the next 3 years, to the age of 18.
• During his time at formal theatrical education, Vhilomir would pick up playing games such as Chess as a pass time activity.
  • NOTE: Vhilomir's most enjoyable and otherwise most brutal Chess match would come whilst playing his Uncle Alexander in a Tactician's tent many years later.
• Another more active hobby Vhilomir kept to was husbandry, fascinated with Crows mainly. Though he was never formally educated in husbandry, he kept a number of Dragged Crows, in awe of their intelligence. Vhilomir would feed them scraps, training them to gather bits and bobs from surrounding fields.
• News of his biological mother Freya's growing instability would cultivate a deeper delving into the less savoury aspects of Alchemy as a more scientific 'hobby' on Campus.
• Ultimately, Vhilomir was no expert on the matter, toying with a pipe dream whilst resigned to his fate of formal education as his Mother succumbed to 'Lo madness'.
• Finally, in Regalia, the Anahera Crisis would lead to the death of his Foster-Mother Elizabeth. Though Vhilomir shared only distant concerns for Freya, Elizabeth had been a true and dutiful Mother figure to Vhilomir. News of her violent death as a result of being flung from a balcony at the hands of Anahera Soldiers devastated the young adult Kade.
• This would push Vhilomir over the edge to meddling with narcotics and gambling, eventually leading to opium addiction. Maximillian was by no means an emotional column to lean on in this time of crisis, and Vhilomir's concerns grew evermore fearful for both his birth mother Freya and twin sister Astrid.
• Though Vhilomir had seldom met Astrid too many times, the twin-bond between them kept the due close even through penned letters. Vhilomir's access to Dragged Crows as messenger birds only heightened his fascination with the particular species of corvid.
• Finally, at the age of 18, Vhilomir would graduate as a trained Thespian. In particular, Vhilomir was deeply attached to the inner workings of street performance and the chaos of such an unruly Stage.
• He would spend time visiting his Mother, making up for lost time in particular with his twin, Astrid. They two would grow near inseparable in the Holy City, running into all manner of shenanigans

Chapter III - Tragedy, Recovery & Discovery

• Following a tragic incident involving the collapse of burning rubble upon Vhilomir as a result of one of his young romances, Cecile Ravenstad, nearly a month passed in a comatose state.
• Following the brush with death, Vhil delved further into protection for his life through Alchemy, as a means of preserving his life from future threats; clearly, the trauma of his comatose state had left the young Kade rather scarred.
• This mindset would only last for a year due to internal Family affairs, all of which cumulated to the breaking of his teeth by his then Uncle Percival's gloved fist. Though his teeth repaired with ivory and gold fillings healed over through extensive Light Magic, Vhilomir learned a valuable lesson in speaking selectively.
• Upon recovery, Vhil was effectively adopted by Cedric in the sense that he was trained and disciplined from the ground up by the Military Uncle. It was this very discipline that bulked the young bookworm to the muscled Anglian he is today, certainly helping the Kade in building a personal discipline.
• It was, in reality, the death of their birth-mother Freya Lo that led to Cedric himself adopting Astrid as a foster-daughter. Recognising Astrid's grief from Freya's death (given their closeness), Cedric had seemingly decided to adopt Vhilomir as well. To keep her company.
• Months of exercise and bodybuilding followed under Cedric's tutelage led to Vhilomir formally enrolling in the Regalian Informational Academy.
• Whilst at the academy, Vhilomir learned to 'fight smart, not hard'. In particular, Vhilomir sought to marry the schools of alchemic application to his information collection.
• Ultimately he graduated around the age of 23 a changed man; no longer addicted to the cravings of opium and even better resolved against the death of his Ward-Mother and Birth-Mother alike.
• Surprisingly, Vhilomir's love for theatre remained prevalent throughout the unfortunate circumstances of his life. Vhilomir would grow lost in the various performances and stories -- moments of a brief respite from the issues plaguing his life. He took pride in this aspect of his Dorinn heritage, not unlike his Alchemical prowess.

Chapter IV - A Dragon Brought So Lo

• The Lo Occupation gave rise to his deceased Mother Freya, alongside the conversion of his Uncle Tristan to that of the Pride Arken. The events following would shake what remained of Vhilomir's religious upbringing to the very core.
• Vhilomir would spend the majority of the Occupation under the guise of the Lo name, working behind the scenes to ensure the downfall of the Occupation proper. It was here that Freya would have Vhilomir tutored in the School of Vilestate, to better serve her own ends.
• During this time, Vhilomir would form the majority of his criminal contacts and underhanded techniques, informally learning of the world of espionage. It certainly frightened the Kade to his core, suddenly made aware of just how many walls relayed information to the Black Order.
• Tristan's curing, Freya's second death and his Uncle Cedric's capture in his Marken State would leave Vhilomir to realise the uses and applications of Magic - that it can and should be controlled by the Regalian Government.
• Vhilomir's further witness to various revelations regarding the Soul Rivers, life and death, and many more grandiose realities directly contradicting Unionism would finally deliver the young Kade to the path of the Cult of Evolution.
• In particular, Vhilomir found great solace in the teachings of the 'Blood Lord' Herpaal, as Alchemy was no stranger to the dormant potential laid in blood.
• Unfortunately, following the demise of the Deathling Queen Freya Lo, Astrid would retire to Axford -- leaving public life behind entirely. To this day, Vhilomir would ponder as to whether this was the true cost the Void exacted of the young Kade for his newfound mental fortitude and resolve.

Chapter V - The Gift of Blood

• Underneath his Uncle Alexander and cousin Francis' guidance, Vhilomir was enlightened to the nature of the Arken and even the essence of Dragons, both of which he continues to keep a close eye on currently.
• By no means an expert in either field, Vhil continued to maintain his physique through regular exercise.
• In his downtime, Vhilomir remained evermore faithful to his Dragged Crows, ultimately taking the name of 'Krähe' for 'Crow'. Furthermore, Vhilomir's duty to the family would emulate the Dragged Crow's most prevalent purpose -- the transfer of information.
• Following numerous excursions into the realm of Underworld Socialites, Vhilomir realised his usefulness lay within the darker side of Regalian Nobility.
• This very mindset brought the young Kade across the path of one unnamed socialite by the name of Lady Dubois during a vacation in Dorinn. The pair shared a borderline fondness for macabre theatre, and naturally the young Kade fell pray to the Sanguine charm.
• All too keen on corrupting a descendant of the Imperial Family, this Lady Dubois then fed on and infected Vhilomir -- turning him to a Milot Vampire in his mid-20s. As such, Vhilomir would retain his youthfulness for years to come.
• Following a few years of research into Vampiric culture and customs, the Kade began to mentally style himself as something of a 'Vampire Prince' as a result of not only carrying the blood of the supposed Milot Bloodline's progenitor-Family but also high off the fumes of his position as a 'Lo Prince' coupled with his envy at the more 'royal' members of his Family.

Chapter VI - With Crisis Comes Opportunity

• The 'Clicker Crisis' brought forth with it an invisible menace devastating not only the Holy City but lands beyond. For Vhilomir however, it also brought new Family into the fold of Regalian chaos.
• With the introduction of Rowena, Laurent, Edwenn and Astram into Vhilomir's social sphere, the Sanguine Kade took to advising and guiding Rowena and Laurent to not only cooperate and behave, but also ushered them into the madness of 'City life' that Regalia facilitated, whilst also keeping his pious Uncle from being taken advantage of.
• With the rising of Draconic Faith across both the Holy City and the world proper, Vhilomir is of the staunch belief that just as Vampirism adapted into various specialised Bloodlines to survive fragmented across the world, this new era of Draconic prominence will herald yet another change for the survivability and thriving of Vampirism.
• Like many Alchemists, Vhilomir seeks to reclaim the Alchemic glory encroached upon by the ancient Allar, seeking to perfect the Alchemic 'magnum opus' and claiming control over both animate and inanimate matter.
• As a means to those ends, Vhilomir has begun to more regularly partake in the Arts of Blood Sciences and the theories of Genos manipulation. He seeks to 'cure' his cousin Laurent's physical weakness, as he sees much of himself in said cousin.
