Both were characteristically empathetic and soft to the young Vesiara, and for her first eighteen years the world of the Wind Elves reigned peaceful. Raised in a small Cielothar community along the border of the Shadow Isles, she spent the most of her time learning about her people, caring for and restoring Void-tainted nature, and most importantly developing her familiar. Introduced to life as one in the Circle of Suriiel, she was destined to be a scout, hunter, and protector (if need be) of their people. Readied and prepared to fulfill her role alongside the community she steadily grew to love, her first step was to take the trial that all Cielothar must pass through: the trial of Estel. And after that seemingly daunting process, she came through and true with a beautiful, sleek-grey Direwolf. Standing tall at her side, she and her wolf stepped eagerly towards a more fulfilled role to serve their people. [15-16] On the dawn of her sixteenth cycle, she set herself on a personal and prideful task to complete a scouting routine hours before regular. Disobeying the elders and excited from the results of her trial, she completed scouting with a speedy precision. Fast on her feet and well-acquitted with the environment, she dashed along the edges of Void-tainted territory and was almost ready to tell the others of her success. But amidst her own rustling of leaves, shrubbery, and plants, she missed a marching of footsteps directly from the adjacent territory. Unbeknownst to her, Kathar scouts were doing much the same-- and they spotted the young Wind Elf first. As they grinned their ashen faces from ear to ear, Vesiara’s perception failed her, and they took quick advantage of her youthful ignorance. Cruel hands wrapped around her freedoms, and her distance from the other Cielothars yielded her shouts to mere cries. Dragged away from her people, her shouts became horrible, weeping cries, and she was taken away and deeper into Kathar land. Just two days after her sixteenth birthday, she would end up shackled chained up. Without a word, and only heartened sobs and a hand reached out towards her home, she was enslaved. [16-31] Vesiara’s life quickly grew from that of a happy, tight-knit, caring community to one of dread, hopelessness, and cold, shivering nights. She turned frail and starving, steel chains became her only home, and sorrow and emptiness were the only things she truly knew. As years passed on, and she was spared from sacrifice time after time, she eventually let go of the one comforting thought that had spared her warmth. She realized that Estel, the one she grew up to worship, admire, and revere, was no longer there for her. In chains and serving a life without meaning, the idea of Estel only grew to taunt her of her lack of freedom. The Goddess she’d been destined to serve was nowhere to be found. Turning her sights from Estel, she laid fixed onto a new plane. The Void stepped into her mind, along with Kathar society, and as years came and passed, it grew into her comforts as well. She slowly began finding pleasantries in the worshipping of the Void, and of another plane. At the age of thirty-one, shades of black started weaving its way throughout the roots of her hairs, and she opened the door for the Void to take Estel’s place. [31-32] Though Vesiara’s beliefs twisted anew, her environment did not. Her physical comforts remained chains and stone walls, and the occasional food and water provided for her to live. But on a certain day, never forgotten to Vesiara, everything quickly changed. Dragging her feet without prowess or pride along the stoney roads of the Kathar city, and being hauled towards chains by her two slavers, a pair of lone footsteps thudded shortly behind. A Cielothar, the first she had seen in years, stood only a few feet away-- and black tinged his hair, as well. In those few seconds, deeply ingrained into her memory, knives had hurled themselves into both of her slavers’ hearts directly from the Cielothar’s hands. Her chains had been loosed, but it wouldn’t be long before they had to run. And to Vesiara, the only home that she possibly had left was this Cielothar. Running along with a heart beating faster than she’d ever remembered, and not even bothering to ask the man’s name, she ran from the city. The two hurried along, and headed towards the shores. [32-81] Little known to the girl, she’d be heading straight for Regalia, where the rest of her life would set off in the dramatic. Following along in the older Cielothar’s footsteps, the two--in their newfound journey for chaos--would grow closer by the days. Currently the girl finds herself contentedly sticking by the older Cielothar's side, assisting them with all kinds of different mischief--specifically theft, be it stealing from people directly or from within their homes, as well as protecting them whenever possible.
Hey-ho! Made a few changes to the proficiency section in addition to removing the third level of Sorcery and replacing it with Ritualism instead. Nothing too big, really. Would appreciate it if you could take a look whenever you're free! @Katiesc
My sole point of Review is to fill in what she's been up to in the past several months in the city at the end of your Life Story, it's been half a year since you posted this application.
I don't really have the time to log on regularly, so there's not many encounters I can see being worth solidifying on the application at the moment. At least that I can recall, anyhow. @HydraLana
Even a nothing sentence like "She's found work and is happy in the urban environment" or whatever, to update and inform vaguely her presence in the city would be sufficient. At current, you somewhat have a statement like that, but since this application is months old, it should be replaced/expanded. Tag me once you're done.
Tacked it on as you asked, though it's rather vague. I hardly remember what I've done ICly, in all honesty. @HydraLana
