When experience fear Frankie is prone to locking up depending on the situation. When facing something relatively similar to past traumas she tends to go into a major panic. Though will try and shield herself from the source as best she can and continue onwards. [*]How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? Frankie rambles through stressful situations. To herself or others around her she has the habit of spouting out random nonsense. She tends to dwell on stress quite alot, unable to keep her mind off it. [*]How would your character express feeling Happy? The bubbly Witchblood is quite expressive when happy. Giggly and affectionate as ever, especially with friends. You can always tell when she's in a good mood. [*]How does your character view Law and Authorities? Frankie from a young age respected all Law and authority above her own. To an extent, she fears authority figures in the case she slips up. But despite personal feelings against the person, when in uniform she shows them nothing but respect. The only race she specifically has a distaste for is Kathar due to personal experience and traumas with the voidling elves. Finding no interest in other faiths other than her own. Though she doesn't feel as if other faiths should be discriminated against, she's quite strictly unionist and believes in /only/ unionism and the spirit. But over the years and after her infection she's open more to exception. Even befriending a few mages and Silven along the way, including her close friend Wesely Crawford. [*]How does your character feel towards their family? Frankie feels insanely pressured into impressing her father in every way possible. And more recently his mother's side of the family who's taken her in within Regalia as nobility. They scare her quite a bit and she feels /insanely/ out of place due to being risen in a separate culture from their own and having little interaction with them as a whole. As for her mother's side, she is quite comfortable with them and misses them greatly. Overall she is either disciplined and mature in front of family members or lets down the act and is herself. [*]What is your character's biggest insecurity? Frankie's biggest insecurity is her Phantasma curse. She regrets the events leading to and causing her death. And feels her every human right has been stripped away in place of a permanent glowing gaze. Most of all she misses her bright blue eyes. [*]What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Being able to break through and continue to carry on with her curse. Even with the numerous amount of mistakes and learning along the way. [*]What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? Point blank, Leufred. Leufred is her great motivator in continuing on and finding her great way. She would have given up a long time ago. But with Leufred's persistent support and guidance, she's able to carry on with the light of unionism as her guide. [*]What is your character's biggest fear? Cold. The cold, ice, snow, winds, anything of even the slightly frigid temperature shakes her. Memories of being left to die in the freezing snow have left her terrified of frostbite and sickness due to the cold. This being her reason for often dressing in heavy clothing even during early spring. I|☁|Those Who Watch. From a general outside perspective, or even as an acquaintance. Frankie is seen as a professional in the way she acts to the open public. Serious tones and greetings to those of important roles and titles. A posture and mannerisms of a past guard, what one would expect from the offspring of a well trained Viridian Knight. This isn’t to say she is generally cold, though. She is one to smile and to greet in a friendly manner, though still holds that serious undertone. As an after effect to this persona, some find her stiff and distasteful. While others can appreciate her professional and polite manner. II|❅|Inner Struggle Under her matured mask of professionalism still a mere speck of what the once joyous and outgoing woman once was. A woman struck with the constant fear of death, once her professional act was just that. An act. Before the woman fully matured into such mannerisms through time and age. Once feeling that the only way to feel like herself once more was to put up such an act to gain some form of noticeability of someone in power. Something that hasn’t been long forgotten after getting used to this act and actually attaching it to her personality. But is definitely locked far into the inner depths of her thoughts. Using what little achievements she has left to keep herself afloat. Feeling much pride and accomplishment from her previous experiences before her change into a Witch-blood. Though constantly scolds herself about if she had simply stuck to the life of a Guard she wouldn’t be stuck as a Witch-blood in the first place. III|❄| Dearly Beloved To those essentially close to this woman, she clings to them like precious jewels. But in a more emotional way then greedy display. Her relationships are all she has to comfort her thoughts, melting away her professional mannerisms but is not the same goofy woman said friends all knew and loved. Taking more into a motherly and parental friend, though her once goofy attitude sometimes slips in small spurts as to not forget the woman she once was. Her deep-rooted sympathy and care for those close to her could be considered unhealthy. Caring for their needs before their own, seeing how she is extremely dependable on their mere role as her friend. IV|☄|Lawful Morality Frankie’s moral code is almost always strictly based on Law and those who push said Laws. This due to her father’s teaching and her many varying guard jobs about Aloria. Though her empathy for others and understanding to various situations could sway her judgment in certain times. Another factor that may push her views is her declining mental state that may convince her to commit to a self-benefiting woeful deed Spoiler: Quirks and Preferences ➛Quirks Even if the slightest cold breeze were to pass through, Frankie is straight to blankets, fires, and warm foods. Even pushing these things onto those around her out of fear of ‘Frostbite’. It’s a silly quirk, though she takes it extremely seriously. Most probably an after-effect of her near-death experience in the frozen cold.➛Likes Reading is one of the female’s favorite pastimes, having run a library in one of her stays in Ithania. Gaining this interest from her Mother, who like most loving parents; read to her as a child. She would read to her long-time friend and roommate in the same motherly fashion as well, letting him lay his head in her lap as she read aloud. Kaffee, energizing and warm. Two things Frankie longs for dearly in every fashion. Loving the warmth, seeing how she hates even the slightest cold breeze that passes. Her father a well known Viridian Knight who had hoped for his first born to be a son, and a mother who was a tailor. The man so desperate for a son would stick with the already planned name for what he hoped was a son, Frankland Laurent. ❄Grew up within the swamp areas of Brissiaud as a tomboyish child with the dream to become like her father. Her hope was to enroll Frankie in the Havre-sur-Bastillion, to have her impress her father through service to the Empire. Her plan was a success, as serving Unionism came naturally to the young Laurent. ❄After graduation, Frankie took toward Ithania to live with a slew of cousins branched from her Mother's side of the family, and to serve the Ithanian leaders of Priscilla Unionism as her first professional line of work. ❄Later arriving in Regalia to live with a childhood friend and work for the Synod. Staying there for a span of two years. ❄After bad influence, Frankie dropped her position in Regalia and wandered back to Ithania in hopes to encourage one of her other interests instead of impressing her Viridian knight of a Father. ❄Residing there for a few years and opening up her own, self-run, library. Instead of serving in guard work. Having a smooth couple of years. ❄ Around the time of De'Gosselin's reign in Ithania, Frankie would be set on moving somewhere else to avoid the chaos. Though their kind actions were nothing but tricks, the couple stabbed her in the back literally and figuratively, taking her coin and leaving her in the snow to die. ❄ Frankie is picked up by locals and brought to a local hospital, where she decides to postpone her trip out of Ithania. ❄ It isn't until the hard-hitting symptoms of the Witchblood curse and the strangulation of a mage settle in that she finally points herself back to Regalia, ❄ Upon arriving she makes up with her childhood friend and resides with him, the man helping her revive her job within the Synod. ❄ After the Inquistion's fall Frankie would find herself without hope, though found new purpose within the newly created sewer side squad under the name 'The Greywitches'. A violet chapter created by her dearest childhood friend. ❄Throughout her time within the Greywitches she has faced many a faults and terrors that have completely distracted her from the pain brought with her curse. Having faced Kathar among Kathar as well as other terrors beneath the surface has brought her even more trauma. Though she faces them with courage and complete order. Having even found a new family among her colleagues. ❄ Due to a major injury after being knocked out of a window during a Greywitch situation, Frankie resigned from the Charter to give herself time to heal. ❄ During this time she took this time to visit her father in Brissaud to fully come clean about her Phantasma curse. Out of pity for the Witchblood as well as from respect of her previous achievements in the Inquistion.«──────────── « ⋅∘◦ ❉ ◦∘⋅ » ────────────» Spoiler: Chronicles Born to Sofia and Jules Laurent in the northern areas of Brissiaud, Frankland was born under the protective gaze of her father, an exceedingly competent Viridian Knight and cared for by her mother, a tailor who had given up her dream of fame to settle down with a small family. She had two siblings, though she was the eldest, to the heavy dismay of her father who wanted a boy for the Order. The man so desperate for a son kept the planned name if the child were to be born a male which was decided as Frankland. As a young, young child, Frankie was somewhat tomboyish, resulting in her most common nickname. Trudging through the swamps with female and male friends alike, she found great joy in fighting off invisible monsters and starting pretend wars. Though these days were short, as Sofia decided to send Frankie to the isle of Basta, specifically with her father’s brother. Her hope was to enroll Frankie in the Havre-sur-Bastillion, to have her impress her father through service to the Empire. Her plan was a success, as serving Unionism came naturally to the young Laurent. Frankie graduated at the age of twenty after enrolling at the age of ten, bringing with her a souvenir of a thick leather ball. Rather than spend time as a Helerian in Basta, she trekked to Ithania for two reasons in particular. Firstly, to visit her mother’s-side cousins and secondly to serve the Ithanian leaders of Priscilla Unionism. Her tenure there was significantly shorter than it was in Basta or Brissiaud, though she enjoyed every day of it. Matriarchal views were battered into her head, much to the dismay of her occasionally checking in father. Frankie moved to Regalia, deciding she’d be far better off serving as a guard to the good Unionists of the Holy City, rather than merely the Synod. That and her constant need to explore and adventure the world around her, she eventually planned to leave Regalia but has since changed her mind due to the close friends she made and how they’ve encouraged her lifelong dream of a protector of justice. Eventually, during her time in Regalia she’d land two separate guarding jobs with a now fallen Noble house and the Inquisition. Once a faithful employee, things would go downhill fast. She’d start skipping work to hang about the bad influence she called her lover, Ashton. Ashton was a heretical bastard child with a horrible sense of humor and bad mental state, who Frankie adored greatly. It eventually lead her to drop both guard jobs altogether and going against her close friend and housemate at the time. Despite his wishes and reasoning of her bad decisions, Frankie did not cave. And eventually moved out of her housemate’s home completely after Ashton’s encouragement to be more independent. Eventually sparking Frankie’s independent roller-coaster, finding the confidence to further go against her Father’s expectations of being a well-trained guards-woman. It was around this time where Frankie moved back to Ithania, dropping all relations behind her as she left. Looking for a fresh start entirely, wanting to pursue an entirely different passion. That being to open a small library within one of Ithania’s cities, hoping to settle down just like her mother had. All ran smoothly until De Gosselin’s reign in Ithania, the uprising of closeted men wanting a change in superiority over the other gender caused riot and sexism through the city. Wanting to leave like most other women wanted to do, Frankie would pack up to leave Ithania. A couple who seemingly were immune to the changes offered the woman to travel along with them. But their kindness would soon prove to be a manipulative tactic to rob the woman. Their trip would come to a stop, Frankie being kicked from the couple’s carriage into the cold snow in the middle of nowhere. A literal and figurative stab in the back, if you will. With nowhere to go, but sit in the freezing ice and bleed out. Frankie already was comfortable with the thought that she was left for dead. She would be in for a big surprise when she opened her eyes once more to a small group of worried looking faces. Surrounded her were nearby townsfolk who had rushed the woman to a nearby Medical ward and evidently saved her life. After thanking these strangers, the woman was shaken up from her near-death experience. Feelings of someone who had been through hell and back, just resting on her shoulders in heavy waves. She planned to postpone her trip and change course, staying in Regalia for a few more weeks after feeling ‘ill’ as she would put it. Head pounding headaches ringing through her head, disorientation, and oddly enough seeing things in lime-green colors. She thought herself to be going crazy. Soon enough she’d wake in the dead of night, the immense feeling of hunger fueling her body. Directing herself where her clouded thoughts were taking her, which of course she had no idea exactly where she was taking herself. She dragged her feet to an unaware Elvish warlock and strangled him, draining him of his magic in her first real feeding. After regaining her senses, the woman was washed over with heavy guilt. Looking into her bathroom mirror after trying to scrub the guilt off of her features and finding the glow of lime green eyes staring back at her. This was her last straw, emotions wild like a flare in her mind. After such she redirected herself to Regalia once more, to visit an old friend and housemate who she cursed at herself for not listening to sooner.
