Height: 5'8 Personality & Abilities How would your character respond to experiencing Fear & Stress? For Theon, fear is stress, and stress is fear. Especially since he is a leader. Whenever Theon is experiencing stress and/or fear, he would probably take a break from what he is doing, and talk to his wife Alessandra, and/or go outside, maybe visit the garden, and get a breath of fresh air. If unfortunately Alessandra is absent from the scene, he would probably visit with his best friend, companion, and right-hand man, Silvanus. How would your character express feeling Happy? To express happiness, depending to what degree, Theon would probably react with a number of questions about the subject he is happy about, become overly talkative, laugh, or have a stupidly large smile takeover his face. How does your character view Law and Authorities? To himself, Theon views Laws and Authorities as a mean to protect the people of the realm from injustice, and to defend their liberties and freedoms that he believes all people are born with. Theon also believes that through the ages Laws and Authority has been abused by the corrupt as a way to justify ones significance over another being, and has been a means to discriminate people and remove peoples liberties. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? Theon appreciates all races and sees them all as equal beings, and believes that character is not defined by race, but rather by people themselves. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? Theon appreciates religion, and sees it as a key aspect of culture, however he does not like to get too involved in discussing religion because he sees all religions as the same, and believes everyone worships the same being, or beings, but all have different ways to describe 'it' based on culture and social influence. He doesn't really know what his god is, what his religion is, but still prays to whatever it may be. In his prayers, he calls it "Chet". How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? Theon has never fiddled or looked into magic, but he looks up to those who practice and have managed to master it. He believes Magic and the Arcane in the world are a blessing, as if they are used with care and proper responsibility, it can bring health, entertainment, and overall good to the world. How does your character feel towards their family? Theon puts family first before anything else, but also uses the term family often loosely. His wife, Alessandra Athius, is of most importance to him, and her protection is one of his main ambitions. He also has a cousin, Antonia Athius, who is the only other surviving member of his family. Her, and his best friend Silvanus, whom he considers family, are very close to him, and he does everything he can to make sure they're happy. What is your character's biggest insecurity? Theon's biggest insecurity is love. He loves his nation and all it stands for with a burning passion, and sometimes with the attitudes and reactions of his peers and fellow citizens, he wonders if they share his same passion, and if not, why? In addition to his nation, he loves his closest friends, and most importantly his wife. But he has the problem of questioning these relationships, as to why he has them, is it because of his wealth or power? Or because of who he really is, and if they truly like or love him? What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Theon is most proud of his family name, the name Athius. The name is a dynasty that has formed over Insani, and has never failed to rule over the nation. Even though his name is not known by many outside of Essalonia, he is proud of the accomplishments of his father and grandfather and what he has inherited today. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? His family and his country. Theon is deeply connected and loves both of these things fervently, and does everything he can to better both of them. What is your character's biggest fear? Theon's biggest fear is the death of his friends and family. These are the people he holds closest to himself, and does everything he can to protect them. If he were to lose any of them, he would truly be lost. Relationships Alessandra Athius (@Creamiest) Alessandra is Theon's wife whom he met in the Imperial City of Regalia while escaping complications back home. She is his wife, his best friend, and his companion. Although the time meeting one another was short, the two fell in love and now do everything together, and he cannot envision his world without her. Silvanus Aalto (@Cae_22) Silvanus is Theon's right hand man. The two met through each others fathers, who were coincidentally best friends. They grew up together, playing games with one another as children, and their friendship has lasted since. Antonia Athius (@AtticCat) Antonia is Theon's only other surviving family member. The daughter of his Aunt Rose, Antonia and Theon have a close relationship and are good friends, and have mourned together in the loss of their slain family members. Mathias Terro (@MyCatBubbles) Terro is one of Theon's fathers friends, who at one point betrayed his father. Theon never got to know Terro well, only hearing bad things from his father. Ironically, the only two times he met Terro was in troubling situations in which Terro saved him. After getting to formally meet Mathias, the two have become good friends. Life StoryChildhood [0 - 17] Theon was born to Ronaen and an unknown woman on March, 14th, 282. As a young boy, Theon was raised lovingly by his father Ronaen, and was taught proper etiquette and manners that his father believed one should follow, such as being kind to others and putting others before yourself, and those morals and ideals have stuck with Theon since. Growing up Theon was often found playing with his friend, Silvanus Aalto, who was the son of his father's friend, Claus Aalto. At the age of 7, Theon's father broke the news to him that Ronaen's current wife, Jareth Luvenis, was not his real mother, and that he was a bastard. Theon was slightly upset, but did not mind it much, as he knew Jareth still loved him like he was his true son and his father still treated him the same as his other sibling. At the age of 10, Ronaen sent Theon to a military academy in Regalia alongside his friend Silvanus Aalto, where Theon learned his skills in fighting and military knowledge as Silvanus practiced medicine. Four years later, at the age of 14, Theon and Silvanus came back to Hadar after attending the academy and returned to Insani. On arrival, his father exaggerated the fact to Theon on the importance of family, and that everything he does is to better their family and the lives of their people. Theon then began to learn the means by which to govern a nation. He observed his father, and was lectured by him often. Theon also received many lectures from his father's companions and counsel. Young Adulthood [18-25] For most of his time home, Theon never got the chance to assist in the ruling of the nation or got the chance to fight for it, as during this time the relations with Insani and other neighboring Viscounties and Republics had remained neutral and stagnant. So, in order to spend his free time, Theon returned to Regalia where he explored, and through a series of unfortunate events (was mugged) learned how to perceive others. At the age of 23, he learned that his father had gone to war with neighboring nations over control of Hadar, and quickly returned home in hope that it would be his chance to prove himself worthy to help his nation. Upon returning home, his father, desperate for help, gave Theon command of a small platoon of men, which he led victoriously into many skirmishes with the enemy Viscounty of Valorian. Overtime, the war for Hadar had quickly gone south for all belligerents, and with the lack of manpower and morale, Insani quickly spiraled into turmoil, while at the same time Insani's enemies marched onto its capital. In the August of 306, the capitol of Insani was sacked, and Theon's father and older brother Torren were killed by their own men. Theon managed to escape in a ship, dubbed the Trinity, and fled with the survivors, including his best friend Silvanus Aalto and cousin Antonia Athius to Essalonia. In Essalonia, the survivors established their own colony, which quickly grew with its population, until they were able to muster up enough forces to start showing their military dominance in the continent. The loss of his family and the slaughter he witnessed in Hadar had shaken Theon, included with the stress of now being in-charge of ruling the nation, and had often kept him up at night. With the advice of his friend Silvanus and cousin Antonia, Theon sailed to Regalia for a short hiatus while his cousin and friend served as his regents. In Regalia, Theon met Alessandra Athius, wrestling a bear in a fighting pit. He was amazed and in awe of the woman, and couldn't help but approach her after the fact. After conversing, which led to them getting drinks and a whole other series of events, Theon fell in love with the young woman and quickly proposed. Now, in the year 307, just recently turned 25, Theon and his wife have returned to Insani, where he was welcomed back with eager and open arms by his friends and subjects, to carry out his father's legacy.
