✗ How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
Adalheida is not one who would dare look fear in the eye, likely for her own pride or not wanting to face that part of herself. Having to work with strong men very frequently she has faced a lot of herself that other women might not get to see, and has strengthened in character and possibly developed a few masculine mannerisms such as replacing her fear with a stuck-up pride, or simply trying to overlook that supposed “weakness”, but when actually under the pressure of something she fears greatly she would likely break apart, or try to subside the emotional stress with anger to repress those feelings. Where others might cry in the face of Fear, Adalheida has grown to resist the urge of crying, and instead shift towards any other emotion or output.

✗ How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?
Like mentioned up above with fear, which causes her a good amount of stress while she tries to deal with it, she doesn't like to take her stress head on as well, rather convincing herself that she shouldn’t feel this way and that she should be angry, happy, or anything else but what she is currently feeling. This can lead to precarious situations like her not allowing her emotional baggage to travel anywhere but herself until the last second which would be an explosion of emotions that she dump-loads onto someone else. When dealing with small stresses she might pop her knuckles, rub her arms or pinch herself to feel something else but stress, and she typically does not like to think about her stress until she is cornered and forced to vomit her emotions onto those unlucky enough to be around her.

✗ How would your character express feeling Happy?
When Adalheida is happy, which usually stems from working with stone, she will likely get more passionate in things she usually doesn’t seek out as much, or simply be more expressive and joking with those around her. Being a workaholic, she does exert most of her joy into her artistic creations, but when she is severed from said work and happy she could be delighting herself with a warm cup of juice to satisfy herself on her good work, visit family to try and liven their day and make them just as happy as herself, or pursue more knowledge from literature or other areas of research while she feels this excitable feeling.

✗ How does your character view Law and Authorities?
Adlas has very commonly looked up to strong Authoritative figures in her life, so those who uphold the law, and authorities are not something foreign nor negatively viewed in her mind. Working under a few Mason Masters and working under their strict guidelines in order to construct the right materials, along with living with a very religious mother has kept her in line, and most importantly accepting if not wanting some sort of authority in her life. Working in the Stonemasonry practice as well, she has read up and learned a decent amount of law and regulations, so she feels Law is very important, and should continue to be regulated by authorities who know what they are doing in said field. Otherwise, fields such as hers would be able to have under qualified workers come in and ruin their construction sites and within her strict guild she would no longer find it a safe haven for veterans alike to meet and share trade secrets.

✗ How does your character feel about Races other than their own?
Adalheida, especially with her being in the masonry guild focuses more an individual’s skill and knowledge instead of Racial identity, and on jobsites, etc she has had to contract and refer to other races where their Racial identity did not matter, and instead their qualification did. Generally, she overlooks Race in favor of skill, but Races who lack a lot of anthropomorphism can still freak her out.

✗ How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths?
With a family that had Religion strongly integrated into their family life via their very Religious mother, and generally Religious family Adalheida was born into Unionism and feels like it is a non-invasive must have into her life. She thinks little to nothing of other Religions, not opting to really research or give them any mind, and her own Religious identity has caused her to work on various churches and other buildings that help strengthen her bind with Unionism. The Religion has caused slight effect in her artistic representation, though she very rarely expresses Unionism within her work unless it is for say a church or something like that. She is generally positively delighted that she has a Religion, and feels without one she would have less direction and chaos.

✗ How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
Adalheida altogether does not think about the Magical world, instead seeking the guidance of her hammer and sticking to that. If there were any sort of magical thing around her, well, she would likely be curious more so in the fashion of “Would this hurt me” instead of “How does this work”. She is fairly unaware of the magic world, and never really questions or seeks to learn about it, so even if magic were around her she wouldn’t probe into it unless necessary for her own survival.

✗ How does your character feel towards their family?
She has always had a close bond to her family, and with her older and younger brother leaving the family so quickly that has only caused her to wish for an even closer connection with those who share blood with her. Studying under her father and cherishing her connection with her mother she very commonly believes in the strength in her relatives and how she should uphold their relationship above many others. She has found her father to be a pool of both knowledge and safety which only improved her view of her family life. Generally, she prefers family to others for these reasons.

✗ What is your character's biggest insecurity?
One of Adalheida’s biggest insecurities is if she were not able to work, and instead had to face herself and watch her age continue to creep up on her. She does not want to have to take a break, look at herself and realize she’s forty-three and hasn’t progressed the family line in any way. While she might either ignore that fact, or possibly embrace it that’s actually stemming from her own strange self-hatred and anger on the situation that she spent so long working to not focus on that aspect of her life. So instead she tries her best to ignore it and focus on continuing to master the family trade of Stonemasonry, trying to convince herself through the work she doesn’t need a blood legacy to mean something to her family.

✗ What is your character the most proud of about themselves?
What also might bring about one of her biggest insecurities, that being she hasn’t produced a lineage for the family because of her time spent working, well, that is also one of the things she is very, very proud about. As a stonemason studying under her father she grew to love the craft and began to present herself in an artistic form with sculpting and carving stone and wood, and her mother’s interest in gems and rocks pushed her towards jewelry crafting. She receives a huge amount of joy from seeing a construction site from the base foundation to the finishing furniture along with the smile on her mother’s face when she receives new rings, or showing her father a new construction site. She continuously becomes enchanted with learning new trades in the skill, and is proud that she can take after her father in such a business.

✗ What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?
Her father is a big inspiration for her to pursue her goals as a Mason, and same with her mason grandfather, so she has a lot of big shoes to fill. While her parents both help to inspire her to move forward into her craft the general ability she has to be unique and artistic with stone has always been a huge deal for her with her business and job. She herself feels a good amount of ambition when she progresses through her career and enjoys the pursuit of getting to know other’s with the same passions as her and learning new trade secrets within the Guild. A general want for mastering the art pushes her greatly.

✗ What is your character's biggest fear?
After putting in years of pure love and passion into what she believed was her greatest enjoyment in life, Stonemasonry, she finds something else that completely overshadows what she has dedicated her life-force to, or where she loses the ability to do anything like it again with her coming age, and must simply whither away without working anymore, which would be a great fault for her.

    Birth.png
Born 264 AC, April 21st in Essalonia to Emilia and Gerhard Kraus Adalheida had been born a couple of years after her eldest brother Elijah, and four years before her younger brother Audric. Her parents named her Adalheida Katarina Kraus, taking her middle name from her grandmother, Katarina, due to her request. Heida cried a lot, but that was expected because she was a baby. However, she would continue to bring this melancholic attitude into her childhood because of her older brother Elijah.

    Childhood.png
Growing up with Elijah was not a pleasant, nor easy task for the young girl as she was often bullied by him in order to “toughen up”, though the already moody girl would only opt to cry more never seeing the merit in his tactics. In the very strict household Adalheida was very commonly reprimanded for her seemingly constant emotional outputs once they were figured out as no more than baseless crying without a real reason, and at around the age of eight had she finally stopped her constant crying. While his sibling Elijah rebelled against the teaching of stonemasonry, Adalheida was a child-prodigy and found it to be the only thing she had any skill with naturally, lacking in most other skills like socializing, motor functions, and general portion control. She was horrendous at martial abilities and often disliked the idea of fighting because she was very frequently wrestled by either of her energetic brothers.

During her childhood she overate, which would eventually lead to her healthy lifestyle that she lives currently, but her younger brother Audric constantly ridiculed her for the fact she had little to no control over her wolfish appetite. While she had many small problems like her diet, and how to communicate with others these things would naturally begin to even out as she grew older and studied more under her mother and father.

When Elijah was sent off to train with the Blackmark Heida was almost happy that her cruel older brother had left, and she began to truly develop her passion for stone and construction under her father at this time of her life. From the ages of ten to twelve she would she would fully develop herself into the reading of Grandfather’s construction and stone masonry books before seeking an apprenticeship with the local mason in Essalonia.

    Teenagery.png
As a teenager she would watch her younger brother Audric leave to military school and she now had no contact with either of her brother’s which would grow her connection with her parents and extended family greatly. She was still very emotional as a person, but she learned from her teacher to put her melancholic feelings into her artwork which was at the beginning small forms of tin and copper, or basic necklaces. Being able to express herself greatly improved her coping mechanisms and her general ability to communicate things more effectively which awakened her as a person.

Adalheida began to learn to love her craft and tie her own character to the artwork that she worked with. She would work constantly, day to night and night to day with little time in between her learning the craft and her studying it herself. Whenever she wasn’t working she was studying. As she apprenticed under the mason through her teenage years she would also learn under her father and begin prodding him for his trade secrets and his past in the masonry field which made her begin to admire and look up to her father. She would usually give the smaller things she crafted to her mother which bonded them closer.

    YA years.png
As a young adult she would separate from her master and seek out an Essalonian-based construction guild where she would begin to develop her own portfolio and independent skills as she interacted with great craftsmen. She began to become more social as she needed to be in order to become a skilled mason, and she spent quite a few years just researching the vast libraries on techniques of architecture, smelting and producing things such as sculptures and busts. At the age of thirty she had spent a long while with other masons, and began to work on her professional career, no longer being tutored and hand-held, but instead she focused on her own creations and style more.

One of her biggest assignments at this time would be the construction of an Essalonian church for the synod which she created the drafts, construction crew, and worked on every facet of the building to test her skill. After this work order was complete she would continue as a professional artist and mason.

    Adulthood.png
At this point of her life calling her a workaholic would be an understatement as she really delved completely into stone masonry and construction. When she wasn’t leading construction teams as a Master mason, who oversaw all the outlets of construction, she was working on sculptures, carvings and copper statues. She had a natural eye for art, but opted to not sell her own work because she was not in it for the money, instead spoiling her mother with fine art. However, her life as an artist was not all glamour, as she would pick up the habit of smoking commonly when she was with other creators.

    Currently.png
After being moved to Regalia by the acting patriarch, Audric, she has shifted her work schedule to that of her new home, and is looking for ways to generate an income in the city by overseeing construction and things such as that. She will continue to do art like jewelry, busts etc while in the city and if there is no guild within Regalia she will start her own for the masons.
