    Personality and Abilities (Required)
    • First Paragraph: Most would rightfully perceive Ancalëket as a zealot. Some, furthermore, might think him eccentric or dangerous; both of which certainly hold a basis in reality. The man clearly espouses strong religious belief and happens to be a great fan of explosive ordnance and civil insurgency: anyone living within a few city blocks of the fellow probably isn’t likely to have a good opinion. But, with that accounted for, those with personal experience have seen him to be a warm and jovial person to his brothers in Faith, the fellow Lightburners, and the prospective convert. In as much as he’s known for his explosive tinkering, he’s held the line on more than one occasion when a threat presented itself.

    • Second Paragraph: Ancalëket doesn’t think much of himself, one way or another: he is a soldier for a cause, a priest for a flock. What he does, he sees as the contribution any man ought to give for what means to them. His personal relationships are warm enough, making companions and friends when they present themselves. He rarely finds more than that, however; beneath the joviality is a stomached horror and anger with himself for the crimes he has committed and those yet to be perpetrated - it renders him unwilling to allow many to acquaint themselves with his past or self past the friendly exterior, and generally warrants himself as unworthy of anything more than acquaintances and campside tales for the younger Lightburners.

    • Third Paragraph: A shepherd to a flock, a friend to those he raises arms with: as penitence for foul deeds past or otherwise, Ancalëket strives to make himself a tool for his faith and for the other Lightburners. Generally, his relationships are warm if not close- benevolent, if not mutually exchanged: he expects nothing, and willfully gives a great deal of himself in the pursuit of an ideal world. That ideal world is perceived similarly by his brothers and arms; following the ideals of the Exist, to forge a better future.

    • Fourth Paragraph: Ancalëket is dogmatic and simple: he follows the tenants of the Exist to their logical extremes. Justice - to smite the wrongdoer, to heal society and wounds once left - freedom, a resistance to any variety of organized rule for himself, personally- more an anarchist than any variety of liberal idealist - and penitence; repayment for past misdeeds. All of these make up his ideals. In as much, he has no respect or recognition for formal law, rule, or authority figures that have not previously earned his respect.
    Life Story

Reared by Saivalle Lightburner blood, educated in the ways of pomp and circumstance inherent to them, the young Ancalëket came out little differently than one would expect of a traditional Exist-loving society. His life was without remarkable instance for many decades: his rearing, normal, early education, normal. He chose to invest himself in a study of the traditional arts, fascinated by ritual and circumstance: similarly interested in explosives and the evolution of warfare, splitting his time between scripting with the old tongue and the more base enjoyment provided by explosives.

The circumstances of his birth contributed much to his actions; he became the retainer of a more major prominent Lightbringer band's hold, climbing his way up throughs. To, and from. He’d made weapons: weapons aplenty, to sate the ever-burning curiosity of the man who he owed fealty to. A fair share of unpleasantness were visited upon the Kathar who ended up within his sights. Some of those he was responsible for: making infernos of the living, blowing apart impudent slaves with explosives- horrific deeds, to be certain, and an extreme for his people: but his mentor and master was radical, and he became similar.

Of course, however, things changed: not necessarily by his volition, but by circumstance. A caravan he’d been travelling with to arrange a trade deal for some valuable supplies - alchemical, magical, rare source of gunpowder and the like like - was struck: the herald of the battle was a burning light like a new star setting over their path, to ward away the Kathar ambushers who'd caught the trail of their caravan. He was wounded: as were most of his caravan, some of which were dragged off for enslavement or to otherwise be made examples of. Others, like sharks, were drawn to the scent of fresh blood and scavenging: one of those sharks was, similar to himself, a Lightburner.

They were less extreme than his roots, but his blood none the less. He'd became acquainted with their peoples before long, and when the day came, he chose to stay alongside them rather than return to the home he once knew. Years went by aplenty- sixty became seventy, seventy became eighty, and before long he'd came to struggle with guilt and the memories of some punishment visited upon the Kathar: he resented how freely he engaged in atrocities, and paid in flesh as a flagellant - a hobby he still keeps.

But regret did not mean that he abandoned his pursuit - even still he used all the tools of his trade: kidnapping, murders, insurgent warfare- bombing towns and temples alike, anything that stood against the principles of their ideal society. Now, however, unlike years before, he did not take to it with relish but grim necessity and self-loathing. The latest journey - the latest job he'd been given to help push back the Kathar - found him on a cart, travelling hundreds of miles with a small band of the Lightburners, bound for a city he’d never known: little did he even understand why, other than the fact that there were Kathar to “free” and despots to tackle.

    • Kathar Ritualism should be Cielothar Ritualism, as the character is a Lightburning Kathar.
    • You have points misstated in magical knowledge.
    • Bold keywords under personality paragraphs section.
