    • First Paragraph | By others, the Cielothar is taken to as odd, even insane in the correct context. But they'd notice that this 'insane' disposition is not accompanied by any sort of threat. The naiveity of the small Nelfin tied together with their eccentric nature would make most assume incompetency or much more simply view them as a harmless child. As an example, on first meeting, imagine the fellow spurting a view that reptiles are actually gods who lost their power (a meta-reference to Godzilla) because it would be scary to imagine huge reptiles - The view is, of course, relatable, but .. Strangers might question why this little person even considers such notions.
    • Second Paragraph | On the inside, Niewyth is quite confident and asserting; certain in their decision-making process but cautious of who they open themselves up to, which leads to an isolationist core. They're anxious about they're viewed, and try constantly to shape this around others they talk to. This is done as a sort of control complex - 'If I can make them see me as an idiot, then I'm secure in knowing they think I'm an idiot. What if I didn't know how they viewed me?'. Thus, the Cielothar views themselves as somewhat flux, but this is mostly due to their shaky moral compass and often questionable loyalties.
    • Third Paragraph | Family is ironically not something the Nelfin cares to embellish. Friends, however, will find that the Cielothar's 'insane notions' come to be more focused and deep as the character reveals the real thoughts plaguing their mind: Thoughts of depression tied to worldviews, hopelessly romantisising fantastical stories and confessing it all to their friends, instead of weird lizard fallacies. A friend of Niewyth's would feel humbled by the stark contrast, and how truthful the little one can be, as well as how they can connect so deeply with their emotions towards those who are close.
    • Fourth Paragraph | Having been strewn about for a good portion of their life, the Nelfin's moral compass tends to spin like a clock in the Nether. They would like to think themselves 'good' but despite being fully aware when becoming an agent of an evil command, they obey without much hesitation at all. It could be argued that this is where the Cielothar's instincts kick in: The internal belief that the person they trust means the best for them, themselves, and those around them. Something the elf has yet to come to grips with or even learn to control. When it comes to others, Niewyth can tolerate all but betrayal. Fighting for gold or killing for safety is all relative, but betrayal is a sin that is akin to a needle slowly piercing its way through the skin; striking nerves. They're old enough to understand the world isn't so black and white. In an example, Niewyth might murder someone at the order of another, but could not bear to betray or be betrayed, which leads to a crossroad of loyalties where being a fencesitter in an opposing clash leads to further internal conflict; an inability to act.
    Life Story
    ¤━━━¤°¤━━━¤°¤━━━¤°¤━━━¤

    Niewyth was born to one of the many Cielothar tribes that graced the plains, enjoying a beautiful childhood. Most prominently, the child spent their days rolling in grass and sewing clothes to play with using the local sheep's wool as material. The Nelfin's parents were decorated citizens of the society; each playing a 'big role' that little Niewyth knew nothing of. Besides, they were too busy learning about the wind, the farming, the wonderful animals and playing with other children. In fact, the other children adored the clothes they sewed, which the Nelfin gave freely; it was the act of making people happy that festered within the youth, and due to the Cielothar society, capitalism wasn't something so quickly jumped at. They sewed dresses and shirts and socks and cuffs and bracelets and necklaces and trousers and flower jewelry. In time, the little one learned to dye them, which had to have been amazing for them because that's what they adored for several years as they grew up.

    Now at the ripe old age of 30, though still quite young, the Cielothar was sent with several other of their generation to lead a caravan to form a new settlement. This was disheartening since many friends were left behind, including their parents... But the opportunity for newer horizon's called at Niewyth's name. The Avanthar escort was set up, and the small colony moved out. During the travel, the Cielothar unsurprisingly met an Avanthar of a similar age, although the importance of this new friendship would go unappreciated for quite some time. Days into travel, Niewyth couldn't stop talking about their experiences with clothes and jewelry and their hair. It was all so new to the Avanthar who, whilst finding it odd, was comforted by the endearing sentiment of sharing experiences, so they told the tales of their own tribe, and how much more .. Aggressive it was. Unsurprisingly once again, the two grew closer and closer, going so far as to sleep with one another beneath the pale moonlight, continuing to tell stories until they ran out, and fostered new ideas and goals together. Yet this was to be short-lived, as the caravan was ransacked by Raiders who took the Avanthar for labour slaves and the Cielothar for general workers. In the assault, the Raiders outmatched the group 5 to 1, and many 'brave' Avanthar died, yet the Cielothar couldn't help but think them stupid... Niewyth and their friend were taken, and forced to learn Common over the years.

    At the age of 60, now, the Cielothar's strength had not improved, but their will had. Fully capable of speaking common now, the Raiders found use for them in reinforcing armour... Horrible as though it was, the little one lost the stress of it years ago, and the self-preservationist instinct of themselves had long since set in. By now, the encampment of bandits had grown into a small territory, and had set their eyes on taking a small Barony by force. The years were not so kind to the Avanthar friend, who couldn't find it in themselves to give up - Instead they resisted more times than they could count, but were beaten down just as many times; often as an example to new slaves. However, within the camp, Niewyth's 'beauty' was unmatched, and so a certain kindness was afforded to them for as long as they were loyal. The bandit leader, 'Kruzr', instructed the Nelfin to keep 'in shape' and healthy. This might appear devious or odd for a slaver, but Niewyth did not know that this leader was, in fact, an Avanthar themselves - with clipped ears and a passion for vengeance against the Baron that slaughtered his tribe. Of course, this would never be revealed, but Kruzr did this because none would follow him otherwise. In the battle of the Barony, the Raiders were defeated. Kruzr was executed as an example, and the slaves were set free. All but Niewyth, anyway, who cried over Kruzr's corpse on the battlefield whilst their friend fled. The Baron was intrigued by this display of loyalty at the hands of their captor, and took the Nelfin under their wing... But this was not without some level of resistance, however once again, the 'Stockholm Syndrome' of the Cielothar set in. The young Baron was a scholar, and had been looking to amass artifacts of the Avanthar... For this, he had built a library in his domain for that very purpose and Niewyth was to offer support in translations. In return, they were adorned with clothes and food and a small degree of power over household staff.

    This continued for forty more years. The Nelfin became ridiculously fluent in Common, noble mannerisms, and gained some knowledge of the artifacts across the world... Even if their locations were unknown. The Cielother often worked with the seamstress, just for fun, in making dresses and clothes for the Lady's of the house and for those who vistited/attended parties and gatherings. The idea of capitalism was still lost to the elf. For decades, they hadn't even thought about their family or their friend or their place in the world. It seemed that 'home' was described as wherever happiness could be spread in making clothes for others. The Cielothar was taught an array of other things too, though mainly through the tips and whispers of women who frequented the halls such as makeup, posture, and more. Niewyth grew perceptive of those around them, and of items around them, to the point of being a great influence for the Baron, who gathered several artifacts across the decades... Even if they were then mundane and useless, it was enough for him. After all this time, it seemed silly to question such a thing as 'gender' - After 100 years of life, it never occurred to the small elf that greater society might want to pin it down with a stake, and once the Baron passed away... It became a problem, indeed, as the next-in-line who was not so tolerant of house elves asked the question 'You, are you a boy or a girl?'... The Cielothar blinked, unsure of how to really respond. Wasn't it always so obvious? Were they not a girl? Were they not a boy? Weren't they both? This dilemma led to the elf being outcasted, and was once again dirt poor in the streets.

    The outside world of Cielothar tribes, Raider's encampments and Noble hospitality was far bleaker than could have been imagined. The glow of the Cielothar faded with their loss of fine dresses and expensive makeup. They had to survive as what could only be described as a homeless child, making use of their perceptive skills to identify people who might give food or to consider the pattern of trade caravan's to try and steal food. Occasionally, other beggars would fight them or try to mug them, and often enough they were left with nothing but pain and an empty stomach... Until of course ouNelfin began to learn the art of folowing without being seen, killing without hesitation, and doing it all quietly. Unknowingly, they had become a street-rat Rogue... Collecting documents from the middle class, creating forgeries to access bank accounts, and as a credit to their Cielothar heritage: Justified it all by sharing the spoils with those who were unintuitive, weak, and needing. Thirty years of hoping somebody would come and somehow offer them support, the lie of expecting to be valued was the Cielothar's downfall in this instance... Nobody wanted a hopeless outcast after all. Intense practice of sleight of hand, wit, and determination was what led to the rent of a small room that sheltered them from the rain, although it was also due to the sympathy of one mercenary who noticed them. The Merc chose to carry a particularly heavy bag of regals one morning in an area they knew Niewyth frequented, and they continued to frequent and be stolen from. Later, Niewyth learned that this Mercenary was, in fact, the familiar friend from long ago; now a leader of an organisation for the security of high-paying customers. They had been shy to confront Nie, in shame, as they could not defend them that day or for the subsequent years that followed. The two lived together for years until the destitute city was too much, and the Avanthar sent the helpless Cielothar to the Crown Isle for safety. A connection that was at last appreciated.

    @Anseran with the new cielothar update and whatnot they changed the race boost gifted to them, also Cielothar know Plains Elven Not Modern Elven and in order to have Alt-Regalian as a Language you’d need to invest Atleast 6 points into Linguistics Knowledge. Also in your prof points Unarmed gets a x2 multiplier so when it comes to body Shape you’d have 10 because 5x2=10 so you’d have 20 points in total because of Unarmed and Athletic Training. Other than that I think you’re good

    Thanks! I came back recently and didn't realise the language system changed so much ^^;

    - Changed the body maths
    - Removed the Alt-Regalian
    - Changed the Race Proficiency

    I know you aren't able to 'Approve' the app but I'll just put this here so Athelois knows I've changed it.
