Basic Infortmation. Full name : Edmure Coen Age : 34 Gender : Male Race : Ithanian/Ceardian ailor. Main ambition : To gain influence in the Regalian military and political scene and help his family prosper in anyway he can. Spoiler: Basic Infortmatiom (Expansion) Edmure came to Regalia shortly after the Bone horror crisis and settling in. He has been their for a few months and he is currently living in the Resistance castle under quite poor circumstances, where he tries his best to help out in any way he can, Wether it be tactician's work or cooking food. Edmure was born the 10th of april, 270 AC to Wulfric and Melisandre Coen in the Coen estate in Ithania, Chateu Loup Blanc, in Merinvague. He has a little sister, Devona Coen, whom he cares much for and is very protective of. Edmure hopes to establish a decent career within the Regalian military, for his lands to prosper, and for his family to thrive. He also hopes to one day find the woman of his life, however he feels that he has a long way to search ahead of him yet. Spoiler: Skill Infortmation (Optional) School : Edmure Coen is a Tactician. Hair Color: Dark Brown Hair Style: Short hair in the front and kept swept to the sides to clear his forehead, his hair is relatively long and wild on the sides and back Skin Color: Slightly tanned ailor standard. Clothing: Edmure like to wear long trenchcoats and fancier outfits, but during this war time he is usually equipped in a chain mail suit with a purple tabard. Height: 6,2 ft Weight: 167 lbs Body Build: Fit aka mesomorph Weapon of Choice: Longsword Spoiler: Visual infortmation (Expansion) Spoiler: Refrence Except he doesn't have a beard, but can grow one Edmure Coen has a defined face and high cheekbones He has marine blue eyes that are rather thinly rounded as well as a defined jaw. He has a very square and define jaw that ends in a pair of deep cheeks. From a first glance, anyone can see that he is a rather militaristic built man. He has a mesomorph shaped body with rather defined muscles depending on what he is wearing. He is also rather tall, standing at 6’2 as well as being around the correct weight for his height with it mostly being muscle. Clothing : Edmure has a rather deep voice with a slightly cocky sound to it when he talks however that can change when he gets rather kind and compassionate with others. His voice would then become a calm and understanding tone. His accent is a bit of a clutter, he speaks fluent common, but sometimes uses Ithanian words, while also having a Ceardian accent. Charismatic: Edmure is quite the charismatic character when it comes down to it. He comes off as quite charming and persuasive. This helps whenever he is in certain situations that calls for him to use his words, which he deploys in his oh so practiced tactical manners. He is always ready with an inspirational speech or comment and he has his way with words, and getting people to listen to him. Nonchalant: Along with his persuasive nature he can easily be rather nonchalant about things most of the time. He gets by, saying things rather easily as he has a calm way of speech, even in regards to the more dire things, which can at times get him into turmoil with others, believing he isn't taking the situation seriously. Even when he is. Romantic: Edmure is a very romantic fellow, he enjoys long silent walks in the parks, amongst other things. His metaphor is that : What, or where, is no item as long as you are with your loved ones. He is not one to abandon his duties as a lover, and can sometimes even overdo it a bit. Some people find it silly that he would spend so much time on caring for his partner and women in general. Responsible: Having grown up within the military schools and in his perticularly militaristic family, he is quite level headed and responsible. He is someone to easily be relied on in certain times of need and was always taught that "A dutyful man, is a good man". Because of this, he tends to get rather stern with children because he feels a sense of responsibility. Stern: Despite his charismatic and charming nature, when he meets someone that he feels that is to care free he will not hesitate to give them a good ol talk to. He tends to show his caring side through how stern he can get, especially with other soldiers or guards whose efforts he doesn't deem appropriate or close friends of his. He always strives to motivate his comerades the best he can. He also tends to get rather angry when people don’t listen to him or take him seriously. Kind: Despite his stern tendencies it really shows the soft side in him when he is around others. He is always willing to help out when other ailors or friends of his need it. Edmure is also very kind and caring towards children, and cares much for their health as he takes on an almost fatherly duty to make sure they're in good spirits, health, and mood. Passionate: When given certain things that intrest him, or is put into a debate with someone about it, he will not hesitate to show his passion and affection for the subject. This also ties into his romantic trait, being quite passionate to those he loves. He will rarely hesitate to share his opinion when it comes to militaristic matters and his family, Protective: Being quite the family man he can get rather protective of his friends and family members. He won’t hesitate to start a fight with someone if they’ve somehow harmed or threatened his family or close friends. Edmure will also act defensively for those he likes as well, coming to their aid whenever possible. Edmure is especially protective of children and women, so it'd be imaginable that he would be very protective of his children and wife. Artisan: Edmure is creative guy with a big imagination when it comes to something he enjoys doing. He is quite the craftsman when given something to work with such as painting and other things and he gets very passionate about the things that he makes when it comes to craftsmanship and quality. He also took smithing lessons in his younger days, he likes to make daggers and blades with very creative designs, inscriptions, handles, etc. Prideful : Unfortunately because of the high amounts of wealth that he has been given as a child has caused some sort of ego to form. He tends to be a rather prideful man when it comes to anything he cares about. And he gloats from time to time because of it and he doesn't take well to insults against him or his upbringing. Strengths Tactician: One of his biggest strengths is the fact that he is a rather tactical man. After being sent through military school he proves it by showing what he knows on the battlefield. He always thinks of ways to do things before executing the plan so it works. He can perform excellently, even in very stressful situations, however it requires all of his focus and he cannot multitask while doing so. This is also one of the only things he does that is hard to distract him from, along with his artisan behavior. Perceptive: From his tactical trait that he has, he is rather observant towards certain things. Meaning he can pick things up rather easily when he puts his mind to it. He tends to always comment on things that he sees that he deems useful as well. Even when it's completely irrelevant to the situation, he will often catch himself mumbling and considering ways to benefit tactically from the surrounding terrain. Quick thinker: When in tight situations and if you need a quick plan after just getting a glance at it, he is the guy for that. Because of his rather observant mind set he can be quite useful in certain quick thinking areas. Always up to create a quick strategy if needed. Eventhough he prefers to take his time with it. Edmure easily connects these three strengths and deploys them with great expertise. Social aptitude: Because of his social nature, it gives him quite the moral boost in times of need. He can be rather charming and talkative when around anyone that he wants to talk to. He can easily pick up conversation, may it be in a formal matter or not, as long as he pays attention to said conversation. If alot is going on around him he can get distracted easily. Weaknesses Bad Back: Edmure was in a training accident when he was younger and it has caused him to have bad back problems at times. Whenever he is walking around or standing for too long, his back starts to hurt and ache. And when fighting this can cause quite the problem if he is hit in his lower back, sometimes crippling him in battle. For the most part it's not too hard to ignore and it doesn't trouble him that much, except when performing physically demanding tasks for longer periods of time, like carrying something or running long distances. Some people also make fun of him for this. Socially Oblivious: When he is close to someone and they admit their feelings to him, it may come as a surprise to him. He is always busy and deep in thought so he's not too good at picking up signs from other people unless they are made very clear. He can mistake an obvious flirt for a friendly gesture, or a threat as advice. This leads to quite awkward situations and even dangerous ones. If he isn't paying good attention to the conversation, he is likely to completely misinterpret the situation. Over Protective: Because of his protective nature he can sometimes get rather to protective when it comes to his family, friends, and lover. He tends to try and shield them away from anything and everything that can cause harm to them. He also tends to get quite jealous when someone is getting to close to his loved one. Over analytical : While it is possible for him to act with swift decision making and quick wit in dire situations, he likes to take his time with things. He has a habit of analyzing, rather than actually fighting when it comes to sword-to-sword combat. He will always try to anticipate his opponent's next move but this can sometimes result in him, either forgetting to parry or block, or simply parrying the wrong place because he mistook his opponent's stance and movements. An unpredictable opponent is his worst enemy. Spoiler: Personality and Abilities (Expansion) Edmure has a tendency of tapping his foot when he is either impatient or angry. He blinks alot when he is nervous and he also flinches a lot at loud noises.OTHER WILL PROBABLY BE ADDED AT HE PROGRESSES IN RP Edmure learned to ride at a very young age and is decent at it, he likes to go on long rides in his barony and enjoy the silence of nature. He was taught to smith as well, during his early and later years in Merinvague by a blacksmith near the castle. He isn't a super smith but he can forge smaller blades and daggers which he likes to decorate in cool and magnificent ways. He also collects swords and antiques from the chrysant wars. Always had a passion for sword fighting as well, he used to watch the knights and soldiers spar against eachother and he liked to fight with sticks against his childhood friends as well. He always seemed to win. He always had a good feel for taking the right stances and knowing how to use the blade, not as a seperate unit, but as an extension of himself. In the later years, responsibilities and other duties came on him and he stopped practicing, though he also had a few lessons during his time in the academy. His passion and affection for the blade has slowly faded over the years and he is more humble about his aptitude with the blade. He still enjoys taking it for a swing once in awhile when he has the time though. William is one of the family members that perticularly stands out to him as a rolemodel, patriarch, and friend. Warren Coen @Brycea111 : "His name is an insult where he comes from." Edmure doesn't know Warren too well, but he knows that William respects him, and so does he. He has always frowned upon the flirtatious ways of this Coen. Milahme Coen @D3RPOSAURUS : "She get's to your heart in several ways. With charme, or with a blade" William's sister whom he met together with William when they first aquainted. He always admired her strength and independence. Willard Coen : "Cranky and pissy. But in a funny and slightly lovable way." Edmure first met Willard when he was in the resistance. Alot happened but Edmure holds nothing against him. Devona Coen : "Hurt my sister, and I will hurt you to an equal extent." Edure's sister and a person he holds most dear of all. He is very protective of her and doesn't like seeing her around men. Melissandre Coen : "My loving mother. Oh how I miss her gentle voice in these times." Edmure's mother who taught him much of what he knows in regards to craftmanship and art. Hrodgar Coen : "A great loss of a great man." Hrodgar was another rolemodel for Edmure whom he looked up to much. He mourned his death more than many in the family. Wulfric Coen : "Hmm.. I wonder.." Edmure's deceased father, he always wondered how he died. Dianne Black /Coen @darkarely : "Glad she married Christopher.. Of all people he will treat her well." Edmure's cousin and another individual held quite dear to him. He always keeps a protective eye on her just incase. Sharian Theodwin @HashtagFlow : "I enjoy a spar with him. He's a good guard too." Aaand another from the resistance. Edmure enjoys his occasional company and him as a sparring partner. Edmure gave him a few sparring lessons and had almost gotten a bit of fatherly feeling for him. More tba eventually. I suppose. Childhood He was born with the Coen family’s estate castle in Merinvague. Grew up the normal Coen way, growing up besides William as well as some others within the family. He grew up learning the normal skills befitted of a noble man before he was sent to Æstar Military Academy once he was old enough to. Teen Years Once he was sent to the military school he began to learn the ways of a warrior and as a tactician. Unfortunately during a training section he was given a rather nasty wound on his back causing him to have some back problems. He continued to work until the appropriate age before leaving to go back to his family before the chrysant wars began. Adulthood Within his later years he ended up joining his cousin, William Coen within the Chrysant wars. From this he began to work harder within the family soon making his way to stay in Regalia with them. Now having survived the bone horrors he is now focused on the current problem, the deathlings. He is now currently working as best he can within the resistance to try and make a difference and to get the emperor back in power. ========================================================================== Thank you for reviewing this application.
