Personality Traits

• Flirt - Jadex loves interacting with both women and men, though most of his advances are towards women. He can often be seen buying drinks, or complimenting women that are around him. Though he is not usually romantically interested in those he goes after he does so none the less, enjoying the fun of it.
  
  
• Mischievous - Jadex likes to play tricks on people. His pranks aren’t usually over elaborate, mostly in order to hide his ability to plot. Many of his tricks are harmless instead looking to make a fool of those he tricks. This habit has and will continue to make him enemies.
  
  
• Calculating - Though he fronts harmless mischief what lurks underneath is far more harmful. Almost constantly Jadex has a form of plot on his mind. Usually involving some various treasure he has heard rumors of and is out to seek. His mind runs over the courses various times before deciding on which course is the most beneficial to him.
  
  
• Curious - Those he has shown his true nature have compared him to a fox sly and deceitful. However accompanied with that is a clever curiosity. This curiosity is what propels him forward as a treasure hunter, thief and keeper of information. As well as analyzing them for their merit.
  
  
• Knowledgeable - Jadex looks to benefit himself through knowledge. Often stealing books both rare and common in order to make himself more knowledgeable of the world. Taking the time to read through many of the books he has read.
  
  
• Greedy - Jadex has a certain lust for treasure. Though his lust is more centered toward larger more valuable objects, he will at times grab any item that catches his curiosity. This means that if he believes an item is worthwhile towards a plot he will take it.
  
  
• Bullet your personality traits with at least 4-5 sentences expanding on each.

Strengths

• Silver tongue - Jadex is quite talented with words. This talent has allowed him to make friends with many different people of all races, and even get on first name basis with a few high nobles. It has also gotten him out of a few sticky situations, by either calming the other party down or keeping them distracted long enough to bolt.
  
  
• Stealthy - He is rather good at keeping himself hidden, or blending in with his surroundings. Often just a small ways away listening in or lurking through the shadows.
  
  
• Nimble - Being sneaky doesn’t always work for you, there are times when you have to run for it. Jadex has always been quick on his feet, and used this ability to escape enemy after enemy. This also attributes to his ability to follow people without making much noise.

• Picking locks - His early days in the city were full of greed, and what stops thiefs better than locks? This kept him from going after objects he views as valuable. To combat it he spent time honing his skills in lockpick. Often buying tumblers in order to test himself, taking them apart and putting them back together.

Weaknesses

• Fear of Spiders - Jadex absolutely hates spiders. When met with a spider he will likely stay as far away as he can. And when suddenly assaulted by a spider will usually shout and run off.
  
  
• Lightweight - He has never been much of a drinker preferring to stay sober and keep good use of his cognitive abilities. However when he does it doesn’t take much to tip him over. After only one ale he will start to experience stages of intoxication.
  
  
• Curiosity - Though this isn’t inherently a bad trait it brings him into trouble quite often. Leading him into situations that normal people would stray from. Causing him to get caught in fights between many different groups.
  
  
• Fire - When he was a kid he was caught in a fire and got third degree burns on his forearms. Though the burns have healed and scarred over the memory still remains. Whether the wound reacts to fire, or his mindset does when fire gets close to his arms it hurts him more than usual.

Life Story (Required)

Jaster Godric was born to a woman by the name of Allanna in the year 277ac. The woman that was his mother quickly and discreetly gave him up to a local orphanage because the man that would be his father left months before he was born. This orphanage ran by a local clergyman under the name of the Anahera family was where he learned most of his sneaky ways. Often running off with the other young boys who had dubbed him Jadex ((Jadex was a play on both his own name and the strange names of the Mekett and they called him this due to his red hair that was similar in color to the bug like race)) doing mischievous things such as stealing sweets from market stalls or swindling regals off various regulars in the commerce area in Regalia. At around the age of 10 he walked in on someone reprimanding the father of the orphanage. He freaked out and attacked the man before being knocked back into a desk unconscious as he knocked over a candle on the desk. The place quickly caught fire and by the time Jadex woke up the two men laid in the middle of the room with flaming debris lain across them. He quickly jumped to grab the father holding on for a few second taking serious burns to his arms. After letting go he began hearing shouts coming from outside and ran for the harbour. In the harbour he soaked his burns in the water before making his way for what looked like an abandoned boat and fell asleep there.

He was woken up by a sailor who then brought him to the captain of the ship. The captain named Danor Aeron gave him two options either be thrown overboard or become his cabin boy. So Jadex joined the ship as a cabin boy and sailed with them growing close to Danor and the ship chef Eric. They sailed off to daendroc to stock up on supplies before continuing their journey. While they were docked the town was attacked by a band of orcs and Jadex and Eric fled into the woods on a horse unknowing of what happened to Danor. The two then became lost in the jungle unable to find their way back to the town, or even to the sea. Then all of a sudden the horse stopped caught in a giant spider web. Eric and Jadex quickly hopped off as the spiders crawled down the web to kill the horse that was caught. As they started to escape the spiders blocked their exit dropping down onto Eric and tearing him apart. They began to circle a crying Jadex when a group of elves found him, quickly launched a volley of arrows into the attacking arachnids.

Afterward the Elves took the boy back to their village feeding him and raising him in the village. Here his mischievous ways were given more room to work. With a few of the tribe even encouraging stealing from their opponents. Here is also where he came into manhood finding a strong attraction to the women in the village which was only pushed forward by the elders wanting him to strengthen their genes.

After a few years, and countless questions to the various ailor men coming in and out of the village, Jadex caught information regarding a few members of the crew who survived the attack. Upon hearing this he went to leave before being stopped by the warriors of the village. He tried to escape a few more times being stopped each time. He spent the next couple of months feeling more like a prisoner than a guest. Jadex eventually devised a way to escape stealing a variety valuable goods before he left the village. He made it back to the coast line before finding his way up the coast to a town. Upon reaching the town Jadex pawned off his stolen goods using them to purchase food and travel back to the city of regalia in search of his missing crew, but mostly in search of Danor. He found a few members of the crew who told him the fate of the others. Yet no one seemed to know where Danor was, mostly assuming he died that night. Unable, and not particularly wanting, to return to the elven tribe he decided to stay in Regalia.

During his stay in Regalia he became a servant to a noble family becoming the family’s right hand man before their downfall. Afterward he spent more time at the tavern, mingling with various nobles and ne’erdowells. Eventually he heard of treasure in the lands of New Ceardia and Faradeen and left Regalia. Now he is coming back to check out rumours of treasures in the city.

 

This has actually somewhat happened in roleplay before, back when the arachnae were still a thing.
