    Basic Information
    • Galathiel Greenheart Halacen is a 26 year old male Half Isldar, Half Talar elf.
    • Galathiel Halacen was born to Jacell Daijno and Lyciena Halacen, with his twin brother, Tallon. Tallon and Galathiel were raised in the elven village of Silmavore in Daendroc, by their mother. At their joint coming of age, Tallon and Galathiel, a journeyman alchemist and warrior respectively, left Daendroc to travel to the great city of Regalia. They traveled in search of knowledge of elven history.
    • Tallon and Galathiel Halcen currently live together in a common district house in Regalia, with plans to travel to the rumored continent of previous elven civilization, Teled Methren.
    • Galathiel's life goal is to bring honor to his elven lineage, in any way he can. He is unsure of what the Regalian victory over the Elven Kingdom bodes for the future, and unsure of what lies ahead in Teled Methren, but he looks ahead as always.
    Visual Information

    Body Description
    • Galathiel is rather tall, at 6 feet, 7 inches. This is a somewhat average height for an elf, however he towers above many humans. Galathiel has a broad, muscular build, weighing 180 pounds. He has a particularly fit upper body, likely from his practice with a broad two-handed sword, though his legs are toned as well. Galathiel has many minor scrapes and cuts all over his body, but nothing serious. They will heal over time, however he gets them as quickly as they heal, from continuous practicing in combat, as well as actual combat.
    • Galathiel has a pale skin tone of 12, as a result of his half-Isldar lineage. Galathiel has no tattoos or burns, just a few minor cuts.
    • Galathiel has a light amount of body hair on his arms and legs, however it is quite thin and, as he has white hair, it is barely visible.
    Head Description

    • Galathiel, like his brother, has an angular face with a pointed nose and chin. His cheekbones stick out, resulted in his entire face giving a 'pointy' feel.
    • Galathiel, like his brother, has blueish-green eyes, that will seemingly switch between these colors depending on the lighting. Galathiel's expression is typical one of lightheartedness and excitement, representing the fading naivete in the elf's heart. He is often smiling, looking around at all of the scenery around him.
    • Galathiel and his brother grow few facial hairs, and cut them when they do sprout up. This suggests that there may be some human genes within their lineage, however neither the twins nor their mother know or care much about this. Galathiel has the same long, unruly white hair as his brothers, however unlike his brother, Galathiel does not restrain it with a band, and it cascades down below his ears, almost touching his shoulders.
    • Galathiel has nothing that distinguishes him on his face, and has not suffered any permanent injuries or disabilities.
    Clothing and Accessories

    • Galathiel wears a mixed set of leather and chain armor. Several straps of green cloth are strung around the armor, which match his brothers set. He wears brown leather boots, like his brother.
    • Galathiel, when traveling, carries a large pack, containing many of his own possessions, as well as his brothers. He also slings his large broadsword across his back, and carries a lapis lined dagger in his boot.
    Behavior Information
    Personality Traits

    • Naive: Galathiel, unlike his brother, does not always notice, or refuses to acknowledge, much of the evil and darkness in the world. He is continuously surprised by the horrid acts folk around him will commit, and as a result of this can be somewhat gullible at times. Despite being born a couple minutes before his brother, Tallon, he is viewed by both to be the 'younger' brother. Galathiel has always maintained a persona of naivete, still stuck in a phase of innocence that is likely perpetuated by the fact that he has spent his entire life with his 'older' twin brother.
    • Selfless: Galathiel, though he has his own goals and aspirations, often puts others ahead of his own. He follows a warriors code of honor, and believes that he must use his strength to aid others, prior to aiding himself. In battle he seeks to restrain an opponent rather than kill them, and rarely attacks unless to defend himself or another. Ever since Galathiel was a child, he has always relished the satisfaction of making somebody happy, or doing a good deed. Even now in adulthood he clings to that satisfaction, helping people whenever an opportunity presents itself.
    • Impulsive: Unlike his brother, Galathiel is an opportunist. He often makes decisions without thinking all the way through, and though sometimes his gut leads him well, it often leads him astray, and gets him and/or his brother in a sticky situation. This is likely a result of rarely having to think things through, as his twin brother is usually the one making the decisions and calling the shots. When Galathiel does end up needing to make a decision, it is often petulant, and determined by whatever fleeting mindset he might be in.
    • Anxious: Galathiel often frets for the future, and tends to have trouble focusing on the present, and what is currently happening. Unlike his brother, he has trouble focusing on the current situation, instead pondering what has happened before or after it. This was likely borne out of Galathiel's rough adjustment to city life, after living in the thick of the trees for almost his entire life. The city walls and lines of houses seemed to choke and restrain him, and he hated it. This urbanized development can always make him apprehensive, and, as he and his brother are currently living in a developed area, he is often at unease.
    • Optimistic: Despite his worrying, Galathiel always manages to consider a positive outlook. He is overall a very optimistic person, and likes to think that in the end, everything will work out as it should. Living with his brother Tallon, Galathiel rarely had to think about the worst case scenario. With Tallon calling the shots Galathiel was often free to think as he pleased, and he liked to turn his head from more realistic predictions, preferring instead to think of the best case scenario.
    • Boisterous: Galathiel loves to chat, and drink, and have a good time. He can be a quite rowdy person, and those who are more delicate or sophisticated will often find themselves annoyed with him. Galathiel's outgoing side is likely thanks to his lack of new experiences as a young child. Unlike his brother, who was constantly learning new things and having new experiences in his alchemical mentoring, Galathiel had a very simple childhood of hunting and training. He made little friends, and he now relishes the ones he has, and lives each moment in the company of others to the fullest.
    • Protective: Galathiel is very protective of his brother, Tallon, as well as anything important that wanders into their lives. Galathiel has nearly lost Tallon twice, once to an alchemical incident, and then to a pack of Tigrans. He has sworn to himself that he will never let anything further happen to Tallon, and hopes he can keep that promise. Galathiel is furthermore very protective of his possessions. This is a more trivial trait, born out of the territorial fights he had with his brother over toys and other things. As his brother often won these disputes, in adulthood Galathiel plays his cards closer to the chest.
    • Straightforward: Galathiel views problems and tasks in a very linear way, and has trouble thinking 'outside of the box'. This is usually a bad thing, however it can sometimes help him and his companions. Oftentimes when faced with a riddle or problem, the answer is hidden in plain sight, and the deep-thinkers such as Tallon and other friends are thinking too freely. Galathiel, however, who sees things as they are, can think well in this situation. He enjoys facing problems head on, and is thus often the first to draw a weapon in a dispute; not out of anger, but out of preparation.
    Likes
    Likes is similar to Personality Traits above. You are required to pin up at least 4 likes that show hobbies, favorite activities, or things your character likes in general. Tread into detail with the likes how and why they are what they are.
    • Combat: Viewing it as a sport, Galathiel loves to engage in friendly brawls and sparring matches with friends. He loves the rush he feels when swords ring together, and the whistle a blade makes as it cuts through the air.
    • Nature: Galathiel, like many other elves, is at one with nature and vegetation. He feels at home when he is traveling through thick trees or vines.
    • Honesty: Galathiel hates liars, and believes a man is only as good as his word. Galathiel believes that if everyone were as honest as himself, the world would be a much better place.
    • Drinking: After a day of tasks and work, Galathiel enjoys unwinding with his brother at the local pubs. Galathiel enjoys strong beer and mead, while Tallon enjoys wine and more sophisticated drinks.
    Dislikes

    • Cities: Galathiel dislikes, and fears, cities and urbanization. He knows that they come at a cost to forests and the native lives, and he frets for the apparent dawn of the age of mankind, that does not seem to be setting any time soon. The Regalian Empire is spreading in all directions, with no care to the other races, and they bring their large, destructive cities with them.
    • Cowardly Folk: Galathiel despises those who refuse to stand up for themselves or others, and instead flee for their own sake. Heroism is not measured in strength or power, Galathiel believes, but your own personal courage.
    • Orcs: Galathiel and his brother have traveled many parts of the world and seen their wonders, and the savagery and barbarism of Orcs is as wondrous as any grand city such as Regalia. They have yet to meet an Orc who's head they would not sever without a second though, as the suffering of their ancestors has not been forgotten.
    • Mages: Galathiel has always been somewhat afraid of magic, and was secretly very happy when his brother was deemed unable to use magic. He does not understand the arcane practices, and scoffs at them. A true fighter is clad in steel.
    Abilities and Disabilities

    Strengths
    • Close Combat: Galathiel has trained for his early teenage years in various forms of combat. He is proficient with daggers and short bows, though his specialty is his two handed broadsword.
    • Unshakable: Galathiel will keep pushing and fighting, and even as his physical strength dwindles, his adrenaline can keep him going for much longer than normal. Galathiel while he can concede defeat, cannot stand the idea of being beaten when there is still fight in him; he can and will keep fighting until he passes out.
    • Positive Outlook: Galathiel is always able to see the best case scenario, and will work hard to make sure it pans out. He has always had to deal with his brother, who is much more of a realist, and has always been the one inspiring morality among themselves and their companions.
    Weaknesses
    • Gullible: Galathiel doesn't always think things all the way through, and can somewhat easily be tricked or confused. Tallon often makes fun of him for it, however it is more likely born of his genuine naivete, then any lack of intelligence.
    • Uneducated: Galathiel didn't hold as much interest in studying as Tallon did at a young age, and while he underwent a small amount of education under his mother, he did not pursue it in later years. He does not speak Regalian Common as well as his brother, Tallon, and he can not write in the language. He is not dim witted, but his lack of formal education hinders him.
    • Fear of Magic: Galathiel dislikes magic even more than his brother, and struggles to face mages. He carries a dagger lined with lapis as a precaution, however he would be hesitant to strike a mage, for fear of powerful curses and spells.
    • Uncertain: Galathiel is clouded by blurred lines of morality, and right and wrong. He likes to think he is an agent of 'good', but what truly is good? Galathiel is unsure, and often questions his actions. He is very vulnerable to misguided instruction, and can be persuaded into making the 'wrong' choice out of confusion and persuasion.
    Combat Styles

    • Two-Handed Broadsword: Galathiel carries a heavy, polished steel broadsword, usually slung over his back. This sword is large, sharp, and thin, and Galathiel handles it like an artist. He has mastered no form of combat, however he considers himself to be quite skilled with his broadsword; nobody who has sparred against him has every said otherwise.
    • Bow and Arrow: As a secondary measure, Galathiel slings his bow on his back as well, and keeps a small quiver of arrows at his side. He is by no means as talented as many of his kinsmen, but, as with any elf, he bears natural aptitude with a bow, that has been complimented with a few years of training.
    Weapons of Choice
    Long Range: Bow and Arrow
    Short Range: Two-Handed Broadsword:
    Against Mages: Lapis inlay dagger, stored in boot.

    Relationships
    Tallon Greenheart Halacen(@Golemlord )- Galathiel has been with Tallon since he was born, and the twins feel an unbreakable connection to one and other. Though Galathiel has started to feel nervous around Tallon, noticing his evident growing lust for power and knowledge, he still loves his brother unconditionally, and will stop at no expense to keep him safe.

    Lyciena Halacen(NPC)- Lyciena, the mother of the twins, raised them lovingly until their coming of age. Galathiel was always bothered by his mother, and how she seemed fine that their father had left Lyciena before they were born, and never came back. Unlike Tallon, Galathiel has no interest in meeting their father. In fact, he would rather if they didn't.

    Throgdar Lodnakh(@Clockworker )- The twins encountered Throgdar in the streets of Regalia, and were disgusted by the large, oafish Orc. To their surprise they found him much more elaborate and intelligent than the Orcs they had met. While Galathiel began to respect the Orc for his refusal to follow the Orcish customs, Tallon still despised him, unwilling to move beyond the animosity between their people.
    Life Story

    ~Age 6~

    "Mama, why does everyone call us the Greenheart twins?"

    The Elf maiden Lyciena smiled at Galathiel's twin brother, Tallon, as she sat in a chair in their dark cottage, illuminated only by a dwindling fireplace. Galathiel was huddled next to the fireplace, playing with some clay figurines.

    "When you and your brother were born, Tallon, our shaman viewed you, as he does with all infants. It is his job in Silmavora to determine what your fates will be. As he touched your chests, he felt a tremor in all things natural around us. The shaman determined you would bring honor to the elven customs, and by extension nature itself. He thus dubbed you and your brother Greenheart, in the hopes that, throughout life, you will always hold the ancient ways close to what was important."

    Galathiel shrugged as he watched the conversation. 'Tallon loves talking about himself,' Galathiel thought. "He's heard this story SO many times."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Jacell Daijno came to the town of Silmavora, a strange and unique sight to the Talar elves. It was rare to see a Isldar elf, and even rarer to see one that willingly immersed himself within a community of his fellow kin. Nevertheless, although he revealed little about himself, Jacell soon become treasured as a stalwart companion in Silmavora, and eventually caught the eye of a Talar maiden named Lyciena. They were together for a few short months, until a robed man came to Silmavora, looking for Jacell. After many harsh discussions in a secluded area, Jacell came to Lyciena, with tears in his eyes, and told her he had to leave. She asked what was to become of him, and why he was leaving. He promised he would come back, but refused to say any more. Half a year later, Lyciena gave birth to Jacell's twin sons, Tallon and Galathiel. Full of resentment towards Jacell, she gave her sons her name, rather than the surname of Jacell.
    The Greenheart twins grew up quickly in Silmavora, always moving on from one thing to the next. They had ordinary childhoods up to the age of ten, playing with simple toys, and beginning their first lessons in archery.
    At the age of eleven, Galathiel began training with the local warriors and hunters, and he began to experience the rush of combat for the first few times. He loved it. As Galathiel entered his pre-teen years he would often leave the village to go hunting with the adults, while Tallon stayed at home in the Alchemist's cottage.
    When Galathiel and Tallon were sixteen, Galathiel came back from a hunting trip with news that Tallon had been injured. He rushed to the healers den, to find Tallon laying on a bed, with a huge red mark on the left side of his face. His left eye was grey and cloudy, and was visibly shriveled.
    "Hurt himself brewing a potion, he did." The healer attending him told Galathiel. "He will be all right, but the eye may take some time to fully heal, if it even does."
    Galathiel stayed at Tallon's side for a few days, as the poison from the potion was slowly drained from his system. On that day Galathiel made a promise to himself.
    'Tallon, you aren't a strong as me, but that is fine. I will keep training, and I will keep becoming stronger, and I can be strong for both of us. I'll always protect you.'
    At the age of 18, Tallon, having spent many years studying alchemy, and Galathiel, having trained for the same amount of time with the fighters of the village, decided to set out and explore the rest of the Elven Kingdom, and eventually Regalia itself. Tallon and Galathiel had been cut off in their small village their whole life, and craved adventure and discovery.
    Several weeks after setting out, they were attacked by a small group of savage Tigran. Galathiel fended them off with relative ease, with his double-edged broadsword and short bow, but Tallon became pinned by one of the stronger ones. He held up his left arm in defense, and the Tigran raked his paws down the arm, causing a long series of deep scrapes running along the entirety of his arm. Tallon howled out in pain, and Galathiel ran to his side, swinging his broadsword and knocking the Tigran of Tallon, creating a huge gash in the center of its stomach. With many of the Tigran slaughtered and wounded, the remaining couple fled into the dark of the jungle. Galathiel tended to his brother, as they had packed many medical supplies, however Tallon quickly passed out. They camped there for several days, and it became apparent that the scrapes were not healing fully. They continued on, but the left side of Tallons upper body was severely weakened by the wound.
    They traveled Daendroc for a few more years, learning and studying their own interests; Tallon learning about alchemy and magic, Galathiel practiced with many of the more skilled warriors in the Kingdom. They eventually set out for Regalia, buying their way on a traveling elven vessel. They reached Regalia at the age of 24, and stayed there for two years. During the time of the elven war, Galathiel urged his brother, pleading him to return to the kingdom and defend his homeland. Tallon assured Galathiel that their village was far enough on the outskirts that it would not be caught in the conflict, and that they did not hold allegiance to any other parts of the kingdom. Galathiel replied, noting that many of the men, their friends and kin from Silmavora, would likely be participating in battle. Tallon waved this away, telling Galathiel that he may leave if he wish, but neither he nor himself owed them anything, and that they would be better off under the rule Regalia. Thus the brothers stayed in Regalia, until they reached their 26th year of age shortly after the battles.
    We recommend that whichever staff member views and processes this character application, also process their twin brother:
    These two characters are very closely related, and a lot of the information on each application is similar or relatable. Though they are both stand-alone applications, there is a lot build off on each other and it probably would be quicker than reviewing two separate applications.
    I notice you way 'we' recommend. Is somebody else playing one of these characters?
    The character Galathiel is being played by me, while the character Tallon is being played by Golem. We have each posted our own introductions, but Golem just posted that comment on both of our behalfs.
    EDIT:
    Link to the other twin: http://forums.massivecraft.com/threads/tallon-greenheart-halacen.22287/
    I am reviewing this character!
    • I feel your personality traits could be expanded upon just a little bit. Make each trait 4-5 sentences in length. If you need a reference, take a gander at this example application.
    • There are some minor grammatical/spelling errors in your life-story; give it another slow read. I suggest reading it out loud; you'll always catch errors that way. Make the above two edits, and I'll happily approve Galathiel.
    Pending!
    Thank you! I must admit this was somewhat rushed, which is a flaw on my own part for being somewhat impatient.
    I will take more time to run through these sections, thanks!
    @Jared4242 Wow, I didn't realize how many mistakes I made in my story. Again, this was rushed by @Golemlord and I. I will let him know to make the corrections in the life story, but after that, could you look at his too? Not trying to be demanding, I just think its a good suggestion considering his application is for Tallon Halacen, and the introductions as well as life stories share and reuse a lot of content.
    I have completed the edits you requested.
