Ambience music The Fold von Moritz cordially invites all to attend the Spring Jousting Tournament of 311 A.C., hosted in loving adoration of His Holiness Emperor Alexander I; may He know our adoration from afar, wherever He may be. The good knights of the city shall don their banners and wear their sigils proud as they take to the jousting lists and compete in the name of honor. The tournament will open with the main event, the joust, on Friday, March 31. All knights are permitted to sign up at least a day in advance. The next day, on Saturday, all citizens are invited to attend Countess Amelina Peirgarten’s "Knight of Chivalry" knight gala for an evening of chivalric entertainment. Finally, the knights of the city should nominate one knight from each order to participate in a final mystery event in Arena Court on Sunday, April 2. All knights are encouraged to find a noble house to sponsor them with appropriate raiments worn in their honor. But a noble family should be conscious of splitting one’s favor too thinly, that it be diluted too thin. We shall see which knights ride as the embodiment of chivalry, which knights court the adoration of doe-eyed fans, and which knights make a good show of entertainment for the crowd. How will the joust work? The joust will function using very specific rules. To win, your character needs to hit an opponent character twice, which “unseats” the opponent. Both will approach one another in game. Both will then roll their attack roll first, then their defense roll. This means both riders could do damage against one another in one “turn”. Then, you ride back to the end, turn around, rinse and repeat. Block counters, extra HP, armor counters are ignored in this tournament. Rolls will be provided via public spreadsheet based on their character app proficiencies. However, there are certain other hidden modifiers you can earn to improve your rolls both before, but also during, the tournament. Nothing too game-breaking, but enough to reward people for wholeheartedly participating in this event. Be entertaining. There are modifiers tied to the crowd’s behavior too. So if you show up to spectate, there are ways you can influence the hypothetical chances of a certain knight winning. Which means, show up and heckle! The modifiers are hidden to everyone except me, and I’ve left some hints in this thread for you.
