Character Information Full Name [Faraddi] Sahir Ilyes [Katharic] Vhaale Solviirn [Current Alias] Apotheosis Race Half-Qadir [Qadir Father, Kathar Mother] Age 34 Gender Non-binary [Uses He/They] Eye Color Vitriolic Pink [Mutated] Core Concept Sahir is an arcane thief with their own self-directed moral code for their criminal designs that strictly abides by a 'do no harm' philosophy, so long as it can be avoided. They are for the most part an entirely agnostic individual: having witnessed too many feats of magic and might at the hands of gods or their servants to ever call themselves an atheist, they have been unable to find any particular faith or god they feel has properly represented them or their interests. A great portion of their torso and arms have been replaced by an intricate assemblage of Clockwork, Magitech and Klokktech components that simulate a functioning body and internal organs, though these parts are always kept hidden and cothered by conservative clothing. Looks Sahir stands at a height of 5 feet and 8 inches with a very slight build and little to no developed musculature. Their skin, a result of their parentage, is a sort of ashen creamy beige color that is exacerbated by their sickly nature. Life Story Sahir's father was a Qadir who utilized his engineering talents to fashion himself into a master thief, and while running a heist in the far west of Aloria met and fell in love with a Kathar priestess-in-training who had fled the Dread Empire. The two combined their skills in magic and technology to become partners-in-crime, eventually siring a child they named Sahir. Sahir was raised in and out of many cities in Daendroc, though their formative years were spent in the criminal underbelly of Hallonq where they learned most of what they know about thievery and subtlety from their father and the crew he ran with. They also took up an interest in magic, tutored by their mother until she was killed by a cadre of Kathar assassins from the Dread Empire who had come to reclaim the blood of the escaped priestess. Sahir's father met a similar fate eventually at the hands of a client who wanted to tie up loose ends from a job he'd worked. Sahir followed in their parents' footsteps, thieving and sustaining themselves, targeting fonts of magical power and knowledge like artifacts and rare tomes. They gained a reputation among the crime syndicates in Daen for their cold but clean efficiency in their work, reliably able to steal and move product without getting things unnecessarily dirty in the process. Their pursuit of magic led into experimentation, the severity and frequency of their exposure to such resulting in a bevy of internal illnesses that were unable to be healed effectively by normal medical treatment. They replaced a great deal of their body with mechanical substitutions in order to buy themselves precious time. Sahir has come to Regalia in search of more work and job prospects, but also to investigate any potential solutions to cure their magical ailment.
