    Your role as a civilian:

Lord KkeCr will be helping assigning you to different roles around the expanding castle walls. This will depend on what your strengths are.
These roles will be treated as a job- depending on how much you contribute to the expansion and economy of Kaer Daemonium, salaries will differ, as well as possible raises and cut backs in taxes.

    Jobs Available To Civilians:

    • Farmer (Animal & Crop)- This job will require you to butcher and breed animals consistently as, well as growing crops making produce available for others within the castle. You will also make sure to leave a daily delivery of food/ a generous free donation from the King to the doors of our people. (Do not attempt stealing food resources, these are for everyone to share- IF Lord KkeCr finds you have been stealing, a penalty will be added to your salary).

    • Builder⚒️- This job requires you to help expand castle walls, provide new housing, farming areas, public areas, and other buildings- creative freedom is very much welcome as long as you keep within the medieval theme- if you do not have the creativity level or are a novice in building, you can still enter this role as you will be helped and shown different design ideas to improve on this.

    • Miner/Stonemason ⛏️- This job will take you into the castle's mineshafts, searching for valuable ores, as well as gathering resources for the builders and items for traders to sell. You will also be tasked with working on smoothening the terrain when the castle is expanding- Your work in the mines will help increase the economy as traders sell certain blocks or ores as well as improve the armoury. (It is key you do not try hide or keep any materials, this is for everyone to share- (IF Lord KkeCr finds you have been stealing, a penalty will be added to your salary, as well as a criminal record for interfering with the economy which will lessen our trust, possibly having you removed from the position).

    • Woodcutter/Carpenter- This job will require you to gather woodland resources for future builds and or for the expansion of our economy through having the trader sell the items you have gathered to other factions and or independent people. (Once again do not attempt stealing any of the resources for any reason, it is to be shared between everyone and used systematically for our economical and expansion growth- IF Lord KkeCr finds you have been doing such, a penalty will be added to your salary, as well as a criminal record for interfering with the economy which will lessen our trust, possibly having you removed from the position).

    • Trader/Retailer - This Job will require you to hold up our markets, working together with our stonemasons, carpenters, blacksmiths, fishermen and farmers to sell produce and materials to other members within castle walls e.g., if they want extra materials, equipment or food, other factions or independent people in order to grow our economy- all money produced from sales goes to the Daemonium Bank, salary will be separate or you will be ordered to keep a percentage. (If found my Lord KkeCr you are not ordered to keep a percentage or it is found you have been keeping more than the set percentage, a penalty will be set to your salary, as well as a criminal record for interfering with the economy which will lessen our trust, possibly having you removed from the position).

    • Fisherman- Similarly to the farmer, your job is to upkeep the agricultural part of our Kingdom- you will be given a house down by the river which you will be able to fish out of- Make sure not to over fish areas as it will become more difficult for you to produce food- You will be working with the Castle traders/retailers working to sell the produce- Any special items found whilst fishing will be evaluated and may be allowed to keep them for personal use. (IF Lord KkeCr finds you have been stealing, a penalty will be added to your salary, as well as a criminal record for interfering with the economy which will lessen our trust, possibly having you removed from the position).
NOTE- All supplies needed to carry out these jobs such as needed materials, equipment such as pickaxes, axes, fishing rods, shears, ect will be provided by the King with no extra charge.

    Religion:

We are welcome to any religion being accepted into our walls, even made up one's- The king personally has no faith but for the purpose of keeping the theme of a medieval world, we will be building cathedrals, abbey's or churches (you can request other medieval buildings of prayer if needed)- you do not have to attend to any of these they are simply for the roleplaying aspect, however, if you are interested in such, only troops are able to apply to be monks/priests as they have the sufficient salary to pay for entry (you must pay to become a monk as realistically only higher classes in the medieval period where actually able to become scholars e.g., pay for education)
Being a monk or priest allows you to unlock the enchantment and alchemy skills which are only otherwise unlockable if you are a noble.

    Overall Experience:

The entire purpose of our Faction is to enable new or old players to be able to immerse themselves into a true historic-like life within castle/city walls, starting from the bottom as a peasant (civilian), living off scraps, saving up money, proving their abilities and gaining respect from those above them in ranking, enabling them to explore new jobs within a medieval world. For example, once a peasant proves themselves to be a high earner and a valuable asset to our faction (ranking up to a squire), they have the ability to stay within the job they currently have but with a raise in wages e.g. a civilian can only be an novice/apprentice in the jobs they are doing, a squire can be an adept in the profession such as adept miner, adept carpenter ect- new jobs available for squires include blacksmiths, and assistant soldiers (a squire can only be a novice/apprentice in new jobs)

Punishments will be a part of the experience just as in medieval times if caught doing minor crimes-this will include relatively entertaining public events such as egging the player that has committed the crime in public, or forcing them to wear a chicken or zombie head signifying their idiocy.

You can request meetings with the king to discuss issues, however this might be rejected due to your position- refer to your Lord or the Bailiff for any complaints or ideas for the future or write a letter to the king. Personal disputes between civilians will ONLY be dealt with by the Bailiff.

Tournaments will be held as often as possible. These will allow to determine who is our Kingdoms champion. Activities will range from archery skill, first to gather a chosen material, combat, and horse riding. Your place in each activity will give you points e.g., 1st=4 points 2nd=3 points 3rd=2 points, 4th, and 5th= 1 point. The winner that becomes champion not only gains the title but also get's a reward of choice- money, equipment, or a new house/request build.
