Character Information Full Name: Gijsberta ‘Jip’ van Snits If forced to give a full name, she tends towards the High-Anglianized version of her surname, van Sneek. Race: Anglian Hinterland Ailor Age: 36 Gender: Female Eye Color: Silver outlined by blue Core Concept Jip keeps a laidback disposition, has an affinity towards wit and insults, and despite her easygoing demeanor, she is unopposed to less savory acts to achieve her goals. Her nature is influenced by her status as a Luck Silven, and her experience with the traditional Heksen witches and a Regalized city both sowed a sense of rejection. Her religiosity mainly takes form in the curiosity of many and acknowledgment of higher beings, but prefers to avoid grand thoughts about her place in life- it’s a waste of time to focus on the past or potential futures, when she’s got now to take care of. Jip maintains an average height of 5’7” with a low level of body fat. A pale complexion is accompanied by ashy, graying brown hair, though this color is often altered with alchemy. Heavy lids and an aquiline nose are prominent, with brows that grow in density towards her inner eyes. Her jawline is angular, jutting out atop a spindly neck. Life Story Within the depths of the West Anglian swamps, Jip was born to a Haeksen witch family that moved to the fringes of a greater community after her conception as a Luck Silven. Unbeknownst to her or the rest of her family, her father's occultist dabbling in ventures beyond their home resulted in contact with an Arken's latent essence. Her presence was kept as isolated and secret from those outside the family, but initial contact with Dogmatic Anglian missionaries led to expulsion of Jip and her kin with their discovery of her so-called demonic heritage. Fleeing south towards the smoky urban environment of Wysland that stood in stark contrast to Eldringen, Jip’s teenage years were marked largely by child labor in menial industrial work. Resentment towards both her family’s Haeksen tradition and the Empire’s Unionism grew, a spell of faithlessness and aimlessness taking hold of her. Meager amounts of coin were scraped together from criminal acts on her part, and at home, her work continued as she was trained in her mother’s alchemical craft and herbal medicine. Late into her adolescence, she was ousted from her family’s household due to garnering unwanted attention for her kleptomaniac tendencies. An era of couch surfing followed, eventually finding more permanent residency with a couple of similarly minded roguish types. They bolstered her skillset with magic tomes to study from, and her own alchemical prowess grew more adept. More industrially minded doctors she worked with during the day lended her their tinkering skills, alongside this sharing their love for shooting at the range. Disagreement over matters of money motivated by greed between the group resulted in yet another ousting from familiar territory. In pursuit of fresh scenery coupled by a bustling population, she directed herself to the capital of the Empire with hopes of finding a comfortable level of wealth.
@microwavemmm mild shuffle in points, changed a sorcery spell for smth w/ more roleplay value and threw in burglary defense / perception mechanics. rereview plox...
@microwavemmm ok i pull up. Silven update, been keeping my eyes on this, I'm so sorry for the rereview so soon. Mainly conceptual parts edited, but I also removed Rogue Gift 4 to ensure she's not loaded with abilities.
Hi, unfortunately I made a mistake with the re-review. Dimension swapping cannot be used just yet, but it's worth waiting for the update. So, you cannot play a Luck Silven at this time. Sorry about that. @Weenlet
i am confused, dimension swapping is the silven special to go from void aligned to exist aligned and vice versa, no? she is just an exist focused character, unless i missed something when making edits? “…each Arken has variants based upon their planar alignment. Arken are not bound to one plane, but manifest differently depending on what plane they represent at any given time. “ if a character is born as the arkens variant plane, i do not see how that is dimension swapping as per the special, which indicates dimension swapping later in life , not just a variant in the arken parent? idk, is the lore just phrased vaguely, bc it wasnt evident to me that is just . part of the special ig??
Currently what you can do, is you can start out as an Avarice Silven, & then when dimension swapping is out, it'll be possible to swap over to its Exist counterpart as a Luck Silven. I guess a simple way to think about it is that the Avarice Arken acts as the "default" right now since it's in the Void Arken section.
@microwavemmm bigger shift than i expected upon thinkin more bout da update, take a looksie da changelog: -added axe -added dimenthist wisdom -added sensor magic -added 3 charisma things -removed resilience -removed pistol -removed pickpocket -removed space magic -removed blood magic -removed flesh magic
im back.. since dimension swapping isnt coming out i changed her to luck silven bc it fit her better, voiding any vampire stuff ,didnt ever really get involved w/ that (i removed it from her sheet a while ago just so she wouldnt be counted as part of any coven due to my inactivity on her) if any staff could review this thatd be appreciated
