Sunray tattoos illuminate his arms and his veins glow golden in imitation of the Sun's light. (Draconic Mantle, Magic Sight 2) Standing at average height for his race, Ouati takes great pride in his body and appearance. His hair is dark and curled, and he wears form-fitting and revealing clothing to highlight his muscularity. He never seen without a pendant around his neck, which takes the shape of a shard of Solacrux embedded in a piece of Amberite molded into the form of a stylized sun. Life Story Ouati was born to a lower-class family, in a small town nestled deep within the Songaskian Masaya. He was well cared for in a nurturing and loving home, and his early years were filled with simple pleasures, supplied for by his parents. Faith was a large part of Ouati's upbringing, as both of his parents worked closely with the nearby College of Priesthood. He was fascinated by his mother's tales of hunting ghouls and soothing restless spirits, and would often beg his mother to allow him to accompany her on her travels. He was always met with a gentle laugh and a firm "No," with the encouragement that he would eventually grow into the part after he came of age. Once Ouati reached his age of maturity, he was swiftly and harshly kicked out of his home. He spent the next few years working odd jobs, but his fascination with his parents' occupations continued. He sought out practitioners of the Occult in his spare time, eventually meeting an elderly woman, Maimouna, who boasted of an extensive grimoire. Under her tutelage, he dipped his toes into the Arcane, and learned minor feats of enchantment. Once he had finally accumulated enough funds to pay entry to the College of Priesthood, he quickly set off to join the ranks of religious prospects. His meetings with his former mentor ended swiftly soon after, as his duties and training at the College quickly consumed his days and nights. Ouati's affinity for the arcane was swiftly noted by the College upon his indoctrination, and he was strictly guided throughout his time there to manicure his grimoire towards the combat of the Great Rot. He learned techniques and incantations to cleanse corruptions and hexes, falling under the mentorship of a priestess named Oumau. He, along with a few other fledglings, aided Oumau in traversing the desert sands and battling any stray souls they chanced upon. In the wake of the Bone Horror Crisis, Ouati's eyes settled to the West. He set out into the world to ensure the complete eradication of the Bone Beasts, not just in Farah'deen, but worldwide. @Messtro It's been a while! Updated Ouati to the latest format and did some minor point shuffling between Spear and Shielding.
@Messtro Got rid of a few spells that saw no usage and didn't contribute too much towards the character's design. The 12 refunded points have been reinvested into 5 Perception Training and Inquest Knowledge, as well as a few miscellaneous hobbies to better round things out.
