I just need a little more time." Sa’eeb has a short, stubby tail, appearing as if it was mutilated in the past, unnaturally cropped. He’s a 6’10, muscular Asha who looks as if he could crush your head between his paws, with fine, fluffy fur with german shepherd markings, and soft, brown eyes. His fur has specks of grey and white, especially on his chin. Despite his intimidating demeanor, his eyes tell another story. "It was a dark time. I'm glad I had found this city." Sa’eeb was born into slavery and shipped to Fenderfelle for work, didn’t know his parents, therefore he didn’t have any ties to family. He spent his adolescence in slavery, hard labor alongside other Asha and enslaved Daendroquins. Sa’eeb eventually snuck off to a ship, freeing himself from slavery, enroute to Farah’deen. He lived in Farah’deen for a little of his adulthood, learning to use various weapons and becoming a well-known mercenary of the area. He was a merciful yet blunt mercenary, with the ability to use his tail as a bludgeon and his claws, as well as bolas. As he grew older, he became restless, learning to use Engineering using his Living Metal. Upon experimenting enough, he eventually learned how to make and use personal grappling hooks and nano bots that could mend wounds. However, it did not heal his worst wound, when he got his tail cropped forcibly in a fight. Although over time, the Mercenary retired, burnt out from the violence and chaos and took up full time Engineering. Sa’eeb got dragged off to Regalia by a Dorkarthian who 'saved' him from a transport ship he was on. He was brought into bloodslavery by the Dorkarth until he went missing. Now free, the retired Mercenary is attempting to find a new will or purpose in Regalia. Spoiler: Expanded Life Story Sa’eeb was born into slavery and shipped to Fendarfelle to work. He did not know his family, or parents, and therefore had no ties. As a slave in Fendarfelle, he picked up the languages from the area he grew up in. He learned Common from the majority of the society, while the fellow Asha that practically raised him taught him Ibeth. And lastly, he picked up D'Ithanie as he was in the area. At about 15 years of age, Sa’eeb broke free of his slavery by sneaking onto a ship that was enroute to the lands of Farah’deen. He learned how to use his paws and claws in a defensive and offensive manner to become a Mercenary and find his way in the new land. Sa’eeb was a lone dog most of his time, making his way as a young Mercenary. Over time, he picked up the use of a blunt mace attached to his tail, and even how to use bolas to become a better mercenary. He never mastered any of these skills, yet he considered himself a decent man, a man of many skills. Over time, the Asha even learned a bit of dancing, thanks to his first love. He had a fascinating relationship with a Feka Asha, with leopard-like features. She brought out the best in him and taught him patience and kindness, serenity, and how to dance to some extent. He was happy enough to the point that he limited his mercenary work and even started learning a new trade that interested him: Engineering. Experimenting with Living Metal gave him a new passion and obsession and his love for the Feka Asha faded. She left him after a while of being practically ghosted, and he was left to his work as a Mercenary and Engineer. In his later days, he started getting older. Grey fur formed on his chin and some parts of his fur, and Sa'eeb got into a final scuttle with a man whom was sought out to be captured by many authorities. He was successful, but at a great cost… he lost his tail in the fight, cropped by a blade and his honor was shattered. The Asha decided to completely retire from Mercenary work after that, and in his depression, focused on his Engineering. He learned how to mend wounds with nano-bots, although no matter how many wounds he healed, he could never recover his tail. He learned to make a grapple and utilized it for mostly just aesthetic, like grabbing things from across the room. Although he knew there was much more potential with the grappling hook he created. With time, he decided to travel once more, as he had not seen outside of Farah'deen in some time, his past only outlined with slavery. Sa'eeb found himself on a transport ship. He didn't care where he ended up, as long as it was somewhere new. However, on the seas, it seemed he was not alone… The ship was eventually attacked by a crew of nasty pirates, looking for some quick loot and reputation. It was destroyed off the coast of Crookback, and Sa'eeb was left with only his memories, and none of his old gear. However, these events were watched by a Dorkarthian Kathar named Adrian. Adrian saved his life, taking him from his wreckage into Crookback. He blood-collared Sa’eeb, and considered the poor Asha as his ‘enslaved bodyguard’. Adrien supplied him with new clothes and even some minor armor, such as a small steel shoulder plate, and a leather strap. Despite Sa'eeb's wishes to remain as an Engineer and drop his old life of being a combatant, he was forcibly reverted back into his old, stoic ways. Eventually... the Dorkarthian went missing. Sa'eeb carried on by himself, taunted by his past and keeping a calm demeaner. He didn't even feel rivalry nor anger towards the Dorkarth that forced him into his crimson collar. He worked to rid of the collar in an attempt to be free once more, and be able to live his life as an Engineer. However, getting a taste for blood once more, the Asha seemed also inclined towards becoming a Mercenary, or even a Palest… a guard to the deserved. He wander off from Crookback into Regalia, hoping to remove the blood collar and begin again. Progression Information 2 Warrior, 1 Engineer
Alrighty! Most everything is in order, except a few small tweaks. Because Sa'eeb has no mutations that alter aging, please remove the "Visual Age". He ages normally; while he might conceivably look young for his age, he is still bodily a 40-year-old. Also, for my sanity, please either offer a satisfactory, non-meme reason for his nickname being "Furry", or remove the nickname. The others make sense with his slaving background., but "Furry" as a character nickname smacks of meme RP.
@Caelamus Decided to do a full rework on Sa'eeb due to losing a lot of interest with his old concept. He's now changed to be moreso a Mercenary / Houseguardsmen rather than the old pirate he used to be.
