Life Story The Beginning Ibracht was born unto a small agrarian family which possessed a humble abode, there in the thicket on the south-eastern tail-end of Angelland, bordering Lokinge in natural isolation. His mother was a weaver, local to Anglia and his father was a retired war veteran from Calemberg. His only sibling, a younger brother, mainly helped their mother around the homestead. The chores there were better suited for his brother’s frail constitution, whereas Ibracht was most often brought along for hunts with his father, acting initially as a pack mule and arrow handler, then a scout, and tracker as he grew, the duo bagging game both large and small. Young Adulthood By the time Ibracht was old enough and skilled enough to hunt on his own, his father was abruptly called back into military service, and without much hesitation, he complied, leaving his wife and two sons. Ibracht’s mother was crestfallen, and his brother was left frustrated and confused. For months on end, his mother remained listless, her husband’s absence forming a sudden void in her life. Ibracht continued to hunt, bringing a steady surplus of food to the table from the wilderness, though his mother would only cook the same dish every day; her husband’s favorite, thinking it would make him come back. The young hunter decided he had enough of this repetition, leaving his brother to take care of their mother as he set out to join the military in search of his father. However, instead of simply joining the Empire’s Tenpenny soldiers, he travelled steadily across Lokinge to Dragenthal, heeding his father’s advice to attend the Academy of Anglian Hunting due to his skill with a bow. Adulthood After several years of tutelage in the school of Wapnbog, Ibracht was an accomplished marksman, attaining four full years of training--This was timed well, as the Empire then began consigning auxiliary troops for the two simultaneous conflicts that had broken out, and the young adult was glad to be recruited. He was sent to Daendroc, briefly trained alongside Tenpennies as he put his archery skills to good use--The trainers there introduced him to the crossbow, a contraption he found odd at first, disliking the slowness, though he came to be pleased with its trigger mechanism, and he had sufficient strength to operate the weapon. The archer was assigned to Thomas Kade’s forces in the Elven War of 302 AC, namely serving in the battle of Schlammburg, given command over a squad of rangers, then joining the Grand Host’s troops for the battles of H’rellen and Lenna Bas, the events of the last battle leaving Ibracht injured, though he was later stationed in Calemberg to assist in controlling the unrest there following the Regalian Civil Strife. The Present The soldier has since made visits to the Holy City of Regalia, being present for events such as the Clicker Crisis, ensuring the safety of numerous citizens, and later on running interference during the Bralona Occupation, though he now intends to have a more prolonged stay.
