This year, as suggested in the Factions Discord we will be hosting a weekend of events to celebrate Pride Month on Massivecraft, and the range of LGBTQ+ people that play on this server, and those that don't! Host Factions - Azuria, Brightshore, Hoyle. Everyone is invited. Date - 26th June + Delayed Foot Race Time - 26th June 8pm GMT (9pm BST) for the Archery. 26th June 9.30pm GMT (10.30pm BST) for the Skin Competition. (Provisionally) Foot Race Delayed for a week Description - The weekend of pride will include a small variety of events hosted on both days. Those events are - Pride March done fast (Cross Country) Skin Competition with the theme 'Best of Pride' Flag Sale for the Variety of LGBTQ+ flags Fireworks Archery Rules - Each individual event will have their own rules, consistent with the manner the event is hosted. Will update in the thread below with specifics. General Event Rules : * No Discriminatory Language of any kind. If you think you have to ask whether the language is allowed, it isn't. This goes beyond the servers rules regarding language. * No Politics or deep discussion, this is an event about pride. If you want to debate the ethics of hosting a Pride event, or discuss deep LGBTQ+ related issues there are other places to discuss these things. * No PvP. PvP will be disabled for all events. Location - The Cross Country will begin at Brightshore, the Skin contest at Azuria, the Archery contest at Hoyle. What do staff need to provide- * PvP exclusions zones around the factions involved, as well as a much larger one for the cross country. As unlike the previous one I hosted, it will be between two points, and we don't want someone taking a different way to get killed. * Cheat Guarding, for all events, but most especially the boat race and the cross country, we need staff to keep track of players to ensure they aren't cheating. * Warps, short term warps to the beginning points of all events. * Language Enforcement, following the rules of the server. But also if you can't enforce mute rules on negative use of words like 'Bear' or 'Fairy' or 'D*ke' etc. Then they will need to be asked to leave. (After a warning, either from staff, or from organizers if you can't warn for those words.) @KittyPoppins @Julu8 @Ozgho
Massive Pride 2021 Fireworks Archery Rules: 6 arrows per competitor Non-enchanted bows will be provided Do not move against the water-based timer Arrows fired after the timer noteblock has sounded will not count towards score Left Target = 10 pts Center Target = 5 pts Right Target = 15 pts I heavily suggest tuning your Minecraft mouse sensitivity for accuracy before the event, as well as using a texture pack you're comfortable with.
