Her mother died of a rare infection shortly after childbirth, leaving baby Sasha in the care of her father, Rodion Kuritnid, and her grandmother. Unable to think of a suitable name in his grief, Rodion left the naming of his daughter to Sasha’s grandma. Foreseeing the role Sasha would assume in the wake of her mother’s death, the matriarch gave her the name Aleksandra, which means ‘defender of mankind.’ Her father thought Aleksandra was too lofty and sober, opting to call her Sasha instead. From an early age, Sasha was drilled in the strict gender roles of the Vladno, the goal being that she would one day fill the void left by her mother. Under the watchful eye of her grandmother, Sasha learned how to manage a household, as well as how to prepare traditional Vladno meals, inheriting the family’s top secret recipe for Glastrov Cakes. A skilled herbalist, the matriarch also imparted her encyclopedic knowledge of plants and fungi onto Sasha, teaching her how to manage a large vegetable garden, as well as how to identify and cultivate medicinal plants such as rubyflower and brightmoss. She also picked up some alchemy, learning how to make simple herbal salves. After over twenty years studying under her grandmother’s tutelage, Sasha inherited her title as the village plant whisperer. Despite spending much of her time at home mastering domestic skills, Sasha also had a somewhat unconventional upbringing in that she was Rodion’s only child. As she grew older, she increasingly accompanied her father on hunting trips and visits to the family’s various lumber mills, opportunities otherwise given to sons. On these outings, Sasha’s father taught her how to wield an axe. She also learned how to trap and track prey by observing her male family members hunt for pelts, and was taught how to forage for wild plants and mushrooms. It was during these trips that Sasha discovered her love of animals, particularly dogs. In her free time, she frequently hung around the Kuritnid family’s kennels, helping take care of their rowdy pack of hunting dogs consisting of Bloodhounds, Beagles, and Calemberger Dachsls. She also developed a close bond with her family’s chubby Tsarr Cat, Gubka, who often followed her around while she did chores and ran errands. Noting her infatuation with furry creatures, Sasha’s family frequently gifted her with pets ranging from rabbits to large hounds. In total, Aleksandra had sixteen pets over the course of her childhood. By far the biggest and most expensive pet came from her grandfather, an Erkebin named Printsessa whom Sasha raised from the time he was a small lamb to when he grew into a massive ram. When Sasha became a young woman, she faced increasing pressure from her family members to get married. Over the course of several years, her father set her up with three suitors, each stronger and richer than the one before. However, all three men failed to impress Aleksandra with their character and none of the proposals came to fruition. Eventually, as the family business took off and the Kuritnid brothers moved to the Crown City to expand trade relations, Sasha gave up on finding a suitable husband in her homeland and followed her father to Regalia, where she hoped to learn new skills and secure a strategic marriage.
@KrakenLord01 Hi! I think I need a rereview. I edited Sasha's skills to reflect IC developments and tweaked her life story to match the new point values. All changes are in red.
