    Personality

    Option One: The Question List
How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness?
Farzaneh generally maintains a contented exterior, not necessarily lacking a smile, but showing a minimal one. However, this is by no means a true indicator, as she will show a more visible smile and even give in to laughs in the right circumstances where she is enjoying her time and comfortable.

How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
Fear makes her astoundingly quiet. She knows what is happening and is present, but gives off the sense she does not wish to deal with whatever is occurring. In most cases, she will aim to take herself and anyone she cares about away from the situation.

How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?
Stress is something Farzaneh has been tempered for with years of expectation. For the most part in public, she keeps a straight face and will bluntly state how she feels without letting her expression completely show the extent.

How does your character view Law and Authorities?
Respect is given for the most part. There is this sense that she will generally maintain rather civil and follow along. This does not mean she shows complete trust or obedience, as she holds a vague skepticism against both law and those who uphold them. She does not equal what is law to true morals, knowing that they do not always coincide and that laws change like the weather.

How does your character feel about Races other than their own?
Generally, Farzaneh is open with other races. She cares not what a person is, only caring for how they are in terms of behavior or personality.

How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths?
Religion is something she is apathetic about as she can see the comfort it gives a person when it comes to going through life, but she herself feels little to no connection.

How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
She purely views magic for the uses it offers in her everyday. She is wary of how others use it, especially in terms of combat. If power gifted and practiced is rough and grating despite time taken to shape it from its natural form, then what was the use of having it in the first place? What this means is that she does not hate the raw form of it, but judges those who have theirs shaped to something that is ‘grating’, not refining it.

How does your character feel towards their family?
The relation between her and her parents is tense and filled with animosity at worst. She contacts her siblings from time to time with letters and gift packages, but never addresses her parents.

What is your character the most proud of about themselves?
Farzaneh is most proud about her craft and her path in life. What once had been a child filled with insecurities that were taken advantage of by others is in a much better state of her life. Certain about her talents and that she has ultimate control over her own life.

What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?
From her experiences after she ran away, she is motivated by the fact that she can find herself somewhere to belong and build a home for herself and those she cares for in her life.

What is your character's biggest insecurity?
That her parents’ words about her being selfish and useless are ultimately correct. So far, she has done well for herself, but shaking off the past is still a quiet and constant battle for her. And in her eyes, her alone.

What is your character's biggest fear?
To have to return to home and forced to give in to her old way of life. Alternatively, while she has a strong distaste for having to be restrained, she fears more so being consumed and trapped mentally.

    Background

Born in 281 AC to a Suvial Altalar naval surveyor and a Bragacao Ailor innkeeper, Farzaneh had a childhood with a generally tense family life rooted in the struggle of her parents. Prior to the birth of her or any of her siblings, her Suvial father Firouz met her Bragacao mother Maricel after having to stay low at her inn after a sudden storm and treacherous waves forced him to take shelter in a lifeboat and swept him to a fairly unknown place on the coast of the Kingdom of Lusits. Ready to use what diplomatic tactics he learned to gain room and privacy, he was met with a surprisingly open and independent woman heading the place. Without a question, she handed him a room and medical aid. For months, he stayed with her until he was eventually found, yet by that time they had chosen to be together. The general move was met with animosity in both sides as neither cultures were accepting of this circumstance. The discrimination affected the family financially and mentally as Firouz was talked ill of behind closed doors and pushed aside for promotions while Maricel found herself losing customers. With grit and time, they found stability for their family, but in the end, financial stability did not necessarily equal tranquility within the family.

Farzaneh was one of seven children. The fifth. She was raised to be generally courteous and practiced in manners and her studies. Both of her parents were insistent upon her becoming a gem in not only her behavior and studies, but appearance. She was expected to be the best in anything— whether business, knowledge, or as a mother and wife. In these same years, she was taught music cooking, fabric weaving, embroidery, language, and poetry. All her siblings experienced this rough scrutiny for years alongside her. Eventually, the young half-elf grew resistant against these, becoming tired. Whether through apathy or active defiance, she was met with harsh words by her parents. Her siblings and any fleeting friends she could muster were those she trusted most in, and the last pillars keeping her at that place.

Upon one starry and moonlit night, she read a story to her younger siblings despite the late hours. As she did, a conversation began about what they all wanted to become. There within each of them was still a bright dream to reach for. When the question came to Farzaneh, she could not give a straight answer, speaking in a nonchalant tone about working a bit then becoming a wife and mother. Her siblings rose up in uproar, poking her about finding out what she wanted to do. It made her realize something she had been keeping down within her. Soon, there came suggestions about what to become as all night they discussed what she should become and what would fit her.

    But.. None stuck.

It was rather sudden sometime after that night that she left the inn at the age of 19. She left in the early morning and without telling her parents. She did not wander long, choosing to take various jobs for her next years. She worked at general stores, tailor shops, and somehow, a teahouse, which she started to like a lot. She tended to remain within Lusits, but also made some trips to the Regalian Archipelago, which soon influenced her to finally settle in the city of Regalia at the age of 24. For what reason, she thinks of simply sharing her crafts and her prided drink mixes for enjoyment and to live life at her own pace.

@CrimsletMonarch Approved, but Sorcery spells only cost 3 points instead of 4 now, meaning that you have 8 unused points rather than 7.
