Hair Style: Messy mop and short beard. Skin Color: Lightly tanned Clothing: Cheap, simple garb, frequently changed. Height: 6'2, 189 cm. Weight: 185lbs, 84kg Personality and Abilities First Paragraph: Fano is known different ways by different people. For the day to day, Fano is seen as confident, smooth talking and suave. He's seen as shameless, audacious and a little wild, but dedicated. Due to the fact that nearly all of his illegal activities, his 'work,' under the cover of a mask, he is known as an entirely different person. Under his mask, Fano is seen as a cold-blooded and merciless hunter, apathetic and vengeful. Second Paragraph: Fano is incredibly secretive, typically un-trusting. He fears damning information on himself, his associates or his actions being leaked to the wrong people, and therefore leads a constant false life, a facade, if not multiple. His past is perhaps his deepest insecurity. None but his absolute closest relations will ever hear about what he has been through. On the flip side, his capabilities are his strongest confidence, to the point of arrogance. At his core, Fano is a man who feels deeply wronged by society as a whole. He is desensitized by years of horrible sights and experiences, and while he manages to push it to the back of his mind while active, his time alone is haunted by his past ghosts. Third Paragraph: Leading his public life, Fano often acts somewhat more calmed while around closer friends, less likely to do outrageous things just because. He would also prove more relaxed in his self projection, taking more of a step back to let the other person talk. While around his associates, Fano will be less guarded than customarily in business mode. Additionally, he will not bother with pleasantries, instead being direct and abrupt, entirely serious. Fourth Paragraph: Fano is a chaotic neutral. His morality is often skewed. While he has a basic moral law of not preying needlessly on the weak, it is a flexible one. Most of his ideals conflict in some way or another. Often times, what is just is entirely up to Fano. When Fano judges someone 'unjust,' he will often times make a plan, distant or immediate, to punish the person. Overall, Fano is incredibly brutal and ruthless, unrelenting upon whoever he sets as his target and any who stand in his way. Life Story Ni'neolloneia-Huēllafano'sejsino Ess'a-Ambas'lajaneoi, better known as Fano Ambas, was born on November 15th, 242 AC to a young, single Avanthar mother. His mother was a prostitute in Ciulë Nisso’oella, his father a Daendroque Ailor client whom she met only once. Fano was immediately given up to a local Children's Home, and given his name by the matrons there. During his early childhood years between the ages of 8 and 10, Fano constantly sought adventure. He would sneak out of his children's home and explore the sights of the city. During this time, Fano always managed to follow trouble wherever it went. The rough way of life in the town gave way to Fano's worldview. The world he saw was dark and evil. Empires would send swaths of men to their deaths for nothing but power, made evident to him by the existence of a place such as Ciulë Nisso’oella. While life was a struggle for Fano, no greater powers cared to help him, or any other 'little guy'. Never trusting many, he kept to himself and learned how to peddle money or food from the abundant mercenaries however he could. When he was only 12, Fano was ejected from the children's home in which he lived. The home was already well over capacity and under supplied, so when Fano was caught stealing and almost stabbed a man, it was made clear he was no longer welcome. Now on his own, Fano lost much of his self-constraint, doing whatever it took to get by. In Fano's teenage years, he managed to get with a group of mercenaries. He eventually grew close to the Avanthar men in the group, who accepted him as one of their own. Fano spent much of his time training in combat skills during this time, as well as physical skills. Fano spent much of his late 20's and early 30's traveling Daendroc with a small, close-knit band of mercenaries. Seeking work where it could be found, Fano came to experience the vast contrast of societies in Daendroc. During his late 30's, Fano and his group of mercenaries decided unanimously to reform into a band of rogue vigilante thugs. Dispensing their brand of justice to local leaders, mostly Ailor, and providing aid to the impoverished when they were able. During this time, Fano honed his rogue and combat skills more finely. As Fano reached his 40's, he made the choice to retire from his life of adventure and seek a more tranquil life among Cielothar villages. While never outright settling down, he lead more calm years during this time, mostly trying to find a woman to spend his remaining years with. By his 50's, Fano had met an elderly Cielothar woman who took him under her wing like a son. For quite some time, he lead a happy life with his adoptive maternal figure. At the age of 57, the Ranger Crisis broke out in Daendroc. Fano witnessed firsthand the aggression of the Ailor on the Cielothar. Disgusted by the greed of the Ailor, he rejoined his old band and began leading a minor terror campaign against Regalian lumber workers. When the Regalian Army inevitably arrived, Fano and his band joined up with the Avanthar forces in the area and aided the guerrilla war against the Humans. The things he saw during this time changed him. In one strike, much of his original band of mercenaries were killed by the Regalian levies. Fano and the remaining men continued to wage a war, but desperation sat in as the Ailor refused to yield. By the end of the Ranger Crisis, most of the band of mercenaries had been slain. Fano had suffered numerous minor injuries and was now plastered in scars. He returned to seek out the Cielothar woman he had befriended, only to find she had died after being forced from her home by Ailor lumber workers. When the Regalian Empire betrayed the Avanthar and allied themselves with the Orcs in Daendroc, Fano fled the continent. He was through with the horrors of Daendroc, and was unable to look at his torn homeland any longer. The remaining survivors of his mercenary band had been murdered by Orcs and Ailor. Fano swore vengeance, and sailed to the Regalian Archipelago, intent on striking somehow at the heart of the empire he deemed evil. In his 60th year, Fano had become accustomed to life in Regalia. Intent on being as much of a nuisance to the Empire as he could, Fano lost track of most of his humanity. The ends began to always justify the means. In the last few years, Fano's goals had shifted somewhat. Now aware of just how impossible it would be yet to bring down an Empire alone, he sat his sights on delivering sweet justice to those he deemed deserving of it.
@Legoclub22 Sorry for the delay! Please specify whether he is half-human or half-elf and then offer his racial breakdown. Half Elves gain a +10 in Light Bow combat as well as the +10 in Staves. It's not necessary to use this, but it is there just in case. Make these changes in blue and tag me when you're done!
@Athelois Changes made. I re-balanced the points I previously had put into Light Bows into other skills, and clarified the race.
@Legoclub22 Your body calculation is just one off, you have 44 and not 45. Aside from that, approved!
@Athelois I've updated the Proficiency Points and Physical stats to reflect the new Half-Race calculations. Sections needing re-approval are marked in red.
@Katiesc I've decided to rework my proficiency points a little bit for this character to better fit my play-style with them. Body stat was re-calculated accordingly. All marked in blue for you!
@Katiesc I've revised the proficiencies on this sheet. Unless I missed something, it should all be in order. In blue.
Just realized I somehow went without spending 5 age points, and had Light Bow combat on there without doing anything with it. Took off Light Bow, and allocated the extra 5 to Dagger Combat. Shouldn't require a re-review.
Bump. Updated to comply with new proficiency system. Added rogue skills. Set point boost and physical stat to Avanthar defaults. Need reviwer.
Put this section before the physical stat section, in the proficiency costs section, and list how much you spent on each. Please tag me when this is amended.
