Height: 5’8 Personality Option One: The Question List How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness? Maeolla demonstrates her happiness subtly, usually reserving excited outbursts for moments alone. Her normally stoic face cannot help but reveal a smile at times, though. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? She hides fear with humor, save for deadly situations, where she is prone to fight instead of flee or freeze. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? She works well under pressure, with dangerous situations and social ones. However she often bites off more than she can chew, combat-wise or task-wise. How does your character view Law and Authorities? No strong views one way or another. She doesn’t feel particularly drawn toward justice or crime. The bureaucratic nature of Regalian law seems tiring. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? Mostly just curious, but ultimately she is prejudiced and favors her own race. It is without hatred but more so with ignorance any time she offends someone. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? She follows the Tohn Sona teachings and the three sources of illumination. Everything else is a simpler rendition of Meriac history. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? Parlor tricks or life-changing magic, it is all fascinating. Maeolla can use Home Enchant 3 as a method of helping clean and finish tasks. How does your character feel towards their family? She has strong family ties and still talks to her old friends. She never forgets to send gifts when she can. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Maeolla is proud of her convincing theatrical skills and con art. She makes a persuading “practitioner of mystic arts” (rigged tarot-like readings) and can make a buck in any crowd. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? Acquiring social connections to live a comfortable life and further the patient agenda of the Maraya to rebuild their civilization. Her assigned job from the Swarm leadership is cultural reconnaissance, meaning information she finds about other races and the relationships she builds are very valuable to her. What is your character's biggest insecurity? Maeolla owes an extortionate amount of money to a group of pirates. Constantly looking over the shoulder for mercenary debt collectors has her miserable and paranoid. This paranoia is crippling when it comes to interacting with mercenaries or anyone who may be mistaken for pirates in the vicinity. This includes harmless sailors, guardsmen, holy orders and anyone foreign with armored uniform or is openly carrying a weapon. What is your character's biggest fear? Being surrounded by those who cannot understand her and speak a language she cannot understand while they yell at her and demand things and threaten violence. Basically any aggressive mercenary-looking non-Maraya. Life Story (PRDArt on Deviantart) Maeolla, born to the parents Niylii aboard the Swarm sky-city in 286 AC, was hatched among a clutch of a dozen. Her eleven siblings were around for much of her childhood, along with her full family and even extended family. The Niylii clan is a medical and maintenance dynasty, each succession of Maraya replacing the oldest in the chain, where they retire to more casual hobbies and tasks. Comprised of years and years of bookkeepers, mechanics, doctors, and nurses who lived their lives contentedly above the clouds, never stepping foot on land for more than an excursion, retiring to rooms only yards from where they were born. They all lived close-knit in small houses strung together in the upper tiers of the Swarm, but never wanted for anything. Well provided for socially and materially, Maeolla was free to flourish. She was always a natural at helping workers unwind after a long day at work, and became talented at massage and chiropractic work. Where she was lacking in skill for medicine or engineering science among her siblings, she became a formidable foe for knots in the back and cricks in the spine. She used this bodycare talent while the Swarm touched down in different continents to make friends with the locals. She picked up a taste early for Daendroqin, and later expanded further into D’Ithanie as she popped many foreign shoulders into place, and new exciting words fell from their mouths. Years of this exposure gave her a decent grasp on both languages, as well as common. She trained in Stirrin warlash combat as was expected of all growing Maraya aboard the swarm. The bladed whip gave immense melee control on the battlefield, and decent ranged as well. Maeolla practiced her combat with her siblings, taking to hunting unsuspecting landed birds on the Swarm. She personally took an interest in jewelry and apprenticed in her late teens with a glassblower making baubles for children aboard the airborne conglomeration. She didn’t study much more than a few classes of it before her interest waned, but her racial talent for such an art gave her a proficiency quicker than usual. A couple magical courses were interesting to her, but she only ever mastered Home Enchant III, for the utility of keeping an organized, lively home. When she reached maturity, and became ready for her first jobs from the democratic Marayan government, something she never really took interest in, they gave her several options befitting of her aptitude. Between jewelry making, professional chiropractice, and social reconnaissance on the ground. The first two options posed a little latent interest, but the prospect of living on the dirt with the animals and plants, learning new languages and meeting new people, was far more tempting. Before departure, for several years she was provided formal university training in altering social perception and the art of lying. Her initial travels took her to places dominated by D’Ithanie culture, where she picked up more of the language mingling with locals. Using her budding con artistry, Maeolla managed to swindle an entire shipment’s worth of cash from a group of dim mercenary traders. When they caught on, she was already towns away, but they did almost manage to capture her, were it not for her good fortune with the local mine workers whom she did low-cost massage work for, who did not give up her position in the hay in the corner of the bar. As repayment for the loyalty of the patrons, Maeolla would use her one sorcery ability to help clean and cook for the outpost. Maeolla is the first of her lineage to become tasked on the ground. She is proud of this, but only within the last few months did she qualify to start living among the common folk in Regalia. Ties with the city are important, as the Ailor empire was instrumental in destroying the standing enemy of the Maraya, the Essa Empire. As she approaches expertise in the skills of con artistry and theatrics, the Marayan consultants very recently gave her the funds to make passage to the holy city, confident that she will not get into trouble and will successfully further their interests as a race.

Got it, subtracted 5pt from conning rogue to add 5 points to glass art making it 10. Did I do that correctly?
