A missive has been scattered all throughout Regalia, posted on public notice boards, businesses, and many places in-between.

    ༻⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯༺

    ⊰ --- ⊱

    To the people of Regalia,

It is seen that a terrible fate had befallen the Lady’s Salvation Church, as well as the Sarcosankt within. This event closely followed an issue related to the Hellvalt Church, and the tampering of a Mythic.

Those involved within this tragic and unfortunate event were ourselves and Kelemvor. Kelemvor had given Briareth an idea of Ordial tainting a Mythic by the name of Mirror Mirror, made by the Arken of Beauty. There was a bigger goal into tainting it that involved Kelemvor’s fusion with this powerful item, but our plans had gone south. Under the impression the worst case scenario would involve Mirror Mirror shattering and becoming mundane, we went through with our attempt to change the allegiance of the artifact.

Kelemvor, Iranela, and Briareth travelled to the Hellvalt Church in order to do this, seeking a pool of essence to change the power within the artifact. Briareth tied the Mythic to rope and began lowering it down into the pit that lies within the back of the Hellvalt Church. Iranela, unaware of the goal or reasoning behind heading to this temple, simply held onto Briareth to prevent him from falling into the pit and watched the experiment transpire. Kelemvor, being the idea giver, stood watch to make sure the process would not be interrupted. Minutes had passed by once the mirror had been lowered into the pit, as we waited for any sort of reaction.

Suddenly, we heard screams and bells from outside, driving each of us into panic. We were quick to pull the mirror back up and leave in a hurry. After departing from the Temple, we took this time to look over the mirror, finding it shattered, aged, and mundane. No further essence had survived, all lost within the pit.

Iranela and Briareth returned to Regalia proper, hearing chaos from Old Town in the direction of the Lady’s Salvation Church. When we went to investigate, we heard the clamor of swords, undead, and crackling fire. We returned to the Church to see it in ruins.

The next day, we were escorted back to the Hellvalt Church to face trial for our transgressions, facing the Lord of The Graves, Xaella, for our trespassing and tampering with the Ordial Pit. As part of our trial, Briareth and Iranela agreed to create this missive and co-sign it, as well as distribute it all throughout Regalia.

Through this missive we accept and acknowledge our punishment for the above transgressions, and we will not seek out this behavior or line of thought again. Once was enough to learn the severity of such an infraction.
    Sincerely,
    Iranela and Briareth

To put it short, we threw a void-tainted Mythic into some heehoo funny Ordial pit, and the church exploded. I hope you enjoyed the event. :)

A Ward of Fae reads the notice once, then twice. He spoke aloud to himself in thought.

"Hopefully now it can be understood why we exist, and the fate that comes for idiots tampering with magical objects."

As the final missive was nailed to a notice board, the distraught Ailor would look to the skies. An abnormally cheery day for Regalia hung above despite the horrors of the recent days. Unfitting, she thought, as she turned to begin the somber trek back home, stewing in her recent mistakes. She certainly didn't know what she was doing at the time, - the discussion between Briareth and Kelemvor that surrounded the situation was drowned out in a bottle of wine, an attempt to forget the recent stress of being hunted down.

All she knew is that she and her lover would now have to wait, wait for whatever was to come next. She prayed to the Dragons above that the axe wouldn't fall on their necks.

Calibur would look upon the missive, a sorrowful look upon his face.
"I've done all I can.. The rest is up to those that hold all the power, Dragon's Guide."
Before turning away and continuing his stroll around Regalia alone.

“And this is why I told Ashford to stay the fuck away from Briareth. I’ll miss him on the guard. Thought I taught ‘im bett’a than that.”

The Songaskian handed is paper off to the rest of his “fantastic four” members, beginning off with no other response. He was upset.

From the desk of Vultragon Celate Amdilin dei Savarolesta,

To Iranela, Briareth, and the others,

Know that you have destroyed a holy site, which you incorrectly call a “Church.” I have no idea what a Church is. The place in question, The Salvation Temple of God Empress Ness, is an important place that houses not only many worshipers each day, but also an irreplaceable Sarcosankt. By unleashing a demon to destroy this place, you have done great harm to those seeking to escape from the Sanguine and Cahal curses and all Unionists. While many Unionists believe the occult is demonic in nature and must be destroyed, Vultragon Unionists like myself believe that the Everwatcher himself has bestowed some magic upon us that can be controlled, while other, demonic powers can not. Clearly this is the exact opposite of a prudent Unionist using magic to help others. Your foolishness in attempting to tamper with a magical artifact by using whatever you think “Ordial” is can not go without consequences and we are all suffering from those consequences.

There is great irony in the fact that the Temple you destroyed was dedicated to the god-empress Ness, who preaches forgiveness and a path to rehabilitation. You seem to understand your actions are very troubling and have already faced trial from some unknown Lord with no known legal authority. I would ask that if you are serious about rehabilitation, that you seek out myself and other Celates so that you may yet veer off of the dark path you are on. Do not expect your path towards some kind of redemption to be easy. Other Celates may not be willing to give you another chance so easily.

I would also demand that you report to the guard and discuss what you know about this strange “Ordial Pit” and what it does. Clearly something with a capacity for great destruction lives down there and the guard should be told about it so they can contain the threat.

Send me a letter and we can arrange a time to meet. And we will meet soon.

Tagging @FireFan96 to make sure you see this since I imagine you'll want to respond to this too

    To the perpetrators,

There are few words for how foolish you three are and how inept it is to meddle like this with the occult. Regardless, I believe this messing with demonic influence a crime above the mark of many to say nothing of the destruction of the sackrosant. You three have now risked the life of every man, woman, and child in this city by destroying the Sackrosant in this act of stupidity. Briar in particular is one whose name has come up before multiple times so I shall pray and seek to ensure judgement. By the grace of Almar, you shall be brought before the courts and tried. May Almar cast judgement upon all three of you for your crimes and may the state enact true puinshment for your innumerable sins.

I preach forgiveness for the repentant but this is not repentance. You publish this /purely/ because this Xealla has threatened you. None of you seem in true desire for repentance especially with the innumerable crimes and chances at redemption of Briareth. Yet I am no judge, no guard judgement is not mine to give by duty or right. I may only say what I believe and what I will strive to make true, not what shall occur or what fellow Celates or laity will believe.

An Archblood would come across the notice, eyeing it down for a moment before beginning to read. Once finished, they'd read it one more time, a small sigh escaping them once they were finished. She'd shake her head, eyes visibly filled with hatred at the names Briareth, Iranela, and Kelemvor. She'd begin to speak quietly to herself.

"Many had fought to defend and fight against those monsters that rose from their graves. And for what!? This lying, bullshit notice! They caused the Salvation Church to be destroyed utterly and absolutely as well as the Sarcosankt. They caused all of this because they wished to 'tamper' with an object that is now useless. Think next time before you act."

The Archblood would shake her head once more and leave at that with nothing else to say.

"Gods above.. They've all tampered with things they shouldn't have. Let's hope this is the last time, if there is a next time."

The Velhiemer breathed out an exhausted sigh, disappointment in their features. They shook their head, going to walk off as well.

"I find it slightly amusing that they basically write it as 'heehee we are sorry'. As if it was funny on them for doing it. When in reality it simply makes them look like morons. To admit to it too, That's just icing on the cake." The Kathar pursed their lips as their fingers fluttered over the multiple notices on the board. "I like the first letter on this. A good choice of words." With that, they turned to wander offer in thought.

Triss sighed without a word, a very unsurprised look on her face. The paper was swiftly gifted to another before she made her way into the prison courtyard, seeking some distraction from a certain Billy Dawg.
