I have noticed that many people complaining "every vampire is a noob and a god/meta gaming RPer". I find this stereotype very annoying, but I cannot entirely disagree with it. Not everyone knows the exact anatomy or phsycology of a Vampire, which kind of makes it a little more difficult. What I find a a bit strange though, is that there is not really a lore written on vampires on the massivecraft website. I had to dig around for a long time to actually find it, or somebody close, and it was very helpful. I realized that these people need to learn more, so, when I had the time, I taught to some "noobish vampires" about what they are, and that they are not invincible, and tell them they don't sparkle... I also taught them how to RP better, or just some tips and such. This seemed to help, but I would like an idea of how many people you have seen that are actually bad at role playing, so I know what I am getting myself into. :D thanks for reading all this crap. Please vote in the poll so I can hear the bad experiences, and work to fix them! :)

Not all vampire RPers are noobish. I don't consider myself noobish and I can name at least five other vampire RPers who are not noobish and who I have RPed with.

I've known 7+ great vamp rpers on Massive, and I thank you for trying to help and make more. I think if people complained less and actually tried to help noobs instead of yelling at them or telling them to "stop interrupting RP" when they just want to join in on the fun would have a much better outcome...

Well I find it awesome that you assisted them in becoming better rpers! If everyone did that then I think the pool of noobs would lessen. I mean were supposed to help each other, thus is why im found rping with noobs at times. I wanna try and assist them and show them how amazing rp can be when youre a good rper. Things become easier for them and definitely more enjoyable seeing how they wouldn't be kicked out of rp from the experienced rpers as much or at all. Im currently going to attempt the vampire rp yet again, except much more daring this time I just got to configure a few more things about her. But seriously, loved how you helped them out! :)

My worst experience was when a man ran all around Regalia not being caught by the guard. I was chasing him and whenever cornered, he would just in the canal and try to escape that way.

a man came up to me, ripped my head of and ate it. He literally came up to me and said this in e:
Anonymous Guy/Girl rips off Ronald J Leure's head and eats it whole.
Then he decided to ignore me because he said I was god rp-ing.

I find it kind of hard to roleplay on minecraft due to the amount of text you can use at once and the fact that you can't think out your response beforehand. I consider everyone a good roleplayer because they can all type responses quicker than me.

Being a guard I've had my fair share of vampire role-play. I try to help out when I can, sometimes people can be pretty ignorant to what you're saying, that or they don't care to learn at all. In short: help who you can.

The worst roleplaying experience I've had, was when a guy decided to spam his server IP in local chat.

Aww. You are a good person! :) Keep up the awesome work! :P I'd love to see more knowledgeable rp'ers around the server that aren't totally bent on destroying everyone in their path and refuse to take any sort of damage :o I'd love to help, but I'm really bad at giving negative feedback xD

Worse rp experience, I think may have been your brother, very sorry but when you run around just yelling your name... Sigh, anyways yea...

The worst role play experience i had was when i was sitting in the tavern and this guy sat down next to me he then proceeded to say he knew my father and my name and the like. I attempted to help him but i suppose you can only save some of them...

My younger brother is a terrible offender of this... With a hard head and a flaming temper, I cannot get though to him ;(

Well, I (regretfully) allowed him to RP as my cousin, so his characters name is Dietrich Fireheart, I believe. I did not want my char to have to deal with him as a brother.

I have found that saying something like "you have to write it as an attempt or its God rp" and rephrase their "stabs" into something more appropriate works much better then an immediate ignore. And I have also found that while I do this, many of the more decent rpers say things like "lol don't waste your time" which I can understand if they are something ridiculous like a Dragon. However It's also happens with perfectly normal-ish characters that immediately learn to correct themselves after someone just works them through their bumps. I disapprove strongly with ignoring people on their first mistake and without at least trying to help them. After all, many, many of us were at least somewhere close to what the newer rpers do.

Ahaha well I'll do my best to instruct those that don't know how to rp when the opportunity arises! :3 I'm all for the idea of working toward a more sophisticated role-playing community :D

Hmm, I think it's pretty normal to take some time to properly respond to stuff.

Yeah, dude-- I agree with @Sven Tu
I typically wait to take turns with the person/persons I'm rp'ing with so they get a chance to respond-- usually fill up time by doing subtle actions such as rubbing the back of my neck or placing my hands on my hips, etc. :) If you were to ever rp with me, you wouldn't feel rushed :P

Roleplaying a vampire is something that takes effort and skill. If you aren't willing to put either into the character,

DON'T BLOODY DO IT.

Thanks for your help @Eliza_Nightly and @Sven Tu. The main reason it takes so long for me is because I have trouble attuning myself to my character. It's really hard for an analytic introverted pacifist (me) to act as an extroverted hot blooded predator (OC) and not mess up multiple times along the way.

Ah, that's the glory of roleplaying ;) I'm a shy, fairly kindhearted girl with the relationship experience of a twelve year old :P my character's a swashbuckling, flirtatious tease that picks a fight just for the fun of it... Yeahhhh... It just takes time :) I'd be happy to help you brainstorm a few go-to phrases/reactions if you need the help :3

I remember a vampire shoved her fist in my mouth and burnt my hair, that was interesting.

I was once a noobā€¦ then someone showed me how to RPā€¦ now (I hope) I'm not a noobā€¦

Thus is the way of the world.

Someone RPing as Carrie from the movie said she ignored me but I couldn't remember the reason. Really, she even tried to used non lore-compliant telekinesis power.

I was like my brain is full of ****

:D I once was a noob too, but I learned tow to RP much better through experience and learning from others... No one decided to teach me.

I don't know if anyone else has said this already, but being a vampire takes skill and practice. You have to actually know what you are doing to play as one.
For example, Alison Vigoli. That character has been role-played as for quite awhile. So, Ryciera could easily have figured out how to play as a vampire whilst role-playing as Alison Vigoli.

Most vampires don't want help from others and they just want to role-play as they want. I remember so many vampires saying, "The Lore is stupid." or "Don't ruin my role-play!". I only help the ones that don't immediately run at the sight of my blue and purple armor.

Alison Vigoli was made I think in...November of last year...but she used a different name at the time...well last name.

EDIT: It was before October.
