A quick race re-cap of the last couple of weeks, with all the races which are planned for a future release and all available information on them. We do not have a release date yet, and it could be quite far away. This is just a sneak preview.
Pravden
The Pravden (largely based off the word "deprived") are a ratlike race roughly the size of small children or dwarves. They live far underneath the cisterns of Regalia (several miles deeper) in an eerie mirror society to Regalia. They have a senate, nobility and even a golden willow tavern, in a more run down and dirty state. The entire species suffers from a form of dementia where many of them even believe they are humans and citizens of the holy city Regalia that lies far above them. They all dress and build with items tossed down the sewers by Regalians from above. Credit goes to Xskill for this race's concept. Pravden are natural scavengers, and as such, tend to be able to snatch more trinkets from fallen foes.
Thylans
The Thylans are largely based off the real life extinct species, Thylacines. Thylans are native to Jorrhildr, the pack hunters of the continent who have a blood feud with the Urs on the continent. Thylans have a largely aboriginese based culture. Kinship and comradery are very important, as well as their shamans. Thylans believe in animistic rituals, spirits of the animals and the plants. Their feud with the Urs is largely one of religious nature, but also out of basic need for survival. The Urs are the main apex predator of Jorrhildr, and Thylans often have to compete with them for what little lifestock there is available. Thylans always hunt in packs and rely on numbers to take out their foes. Thylans are natural acrobats, suffering no breaks or issues with large falls.
Urs
Urs are large bear like people with a largely Native-American based culture, though in a much less communal nature. Urs believe in the spirits of the ancestors as opposed to the animals and plant beliefs of the Thylans. Urs are naturally solitary animals, they prefer to wander the plains of Jorrhildr by themselves, or their immediate family. Urs live in a very nomadic method, travelling from cave to cave in search of hunting prey. They often come at odds with the Thylans for local hunting game. Urs rely on their brutish strenght in combat, causing the Thylans to need 5 of them to latch onto the Ur to bring it down. Urs are larger than Orcs, often twice as wide and half as tall. Their sizes vary greatly however, as the Urs have the most subspecies of all other races. They can be as small as a dwarf or even larger than before described. Urs posess a primal rage that even surpasses orc berserker rage. As such, Urs start becoming more ferocious when they get more wounded.
Avarr
Avarr are the terrorbird species apex predator of Guldar, the old Orc homeworld. The Avarr culture is largely based off MesoAmerican cultures, aztec in particular. Their worship of the sungod takes extreme proportions, demanding Orc sacrifices to satiate their god's need of blood. Avarr sacrificial rituals were often very brutal, having the birds tear open the Orc with their claws and ripping out it's two still beating hearts in one go. The priest would then consume the hearts and kick the dead orc down the pyramid for other Avarr to eat. Avarr culture is a prominently hunting culture. Avarr culturally hunt alone, Avarrs who catch large prey are prestigeous, and Avarr who get caught themselves become outcasts. Their great hunt involves catching the largest animals possible on the continent of Guldar. It is shamelful for an Avarr to receive aid in the hunt, and they also lose focus if they have to hunt more than one prey. Avarr cannot be bested one on one, but if they face more than one prey, or hunt in packs, they become a lot less efficient due to shame and lack of coordination.
